Just heard on ESPN that Texas will include Joey Gallo in a Lucroy trade with Milwaukie.
Seems like a Bruce/Desclafini deal could net us Gallo, Profar,++
Not sure we want Gallo....he may be another, Dunn?

The Giants are said to be making a strong push for Bruce. Here's a look at their top prospects:
1. RHP-Phil Bickford(2015,1st rd #18). #67 on the top 100 list. currently in High-A. Fastball can hit 98. Good slider. currently a SP, but some scouts feel he might wind up in the bullpen if the changeup doesn't fully develop
2. INF-Christian Arroyo(2013,1st Rd). #96 on the top 100 list. Currently in AA. Extremely advanced hitter for his age. AZL League MVP, 2nd in BA in Northwest league(Billings eqivalent), skipped Low-A and hit over .300 in High-A at 20 years old. Currently 2B/SS, but his range may push him to 3B or corner OF. IF the Giants are the trade partner, this is who I want
3. RHP-Tyler Beede(2014, 1st Rd). Currently in AA. Also drafted 1st rd by Blue Jays in 2011. 90-95 2-seam fastball is where he works. Groundball pitcher who has had control issues in the past. If he adds strength, potential to be a frontline starter
4. 1B-Chris Shaw(2015,1st Rd #31). Currently in AA. #6 1B prospect. Big power. Speed limits him to 1B. K's a lot, but will walk.
5. SS-Lucius Fox(International FA, 2015; if he was in draft he was projected as a 2nd rounder. Currently in Low-A. Big tools guy who has struggled at the plate. Signed for a $6M bonus out of the Bahamas, which is the largest ever for a non-Cuban. Batman approves though.

Brad as always appreciate this work that allows us to think for real about it. I'm looking for offense and the guy you mention is the Billings equivalent. Color me bad but that's like the greatest look chick at the party that thinks you are the bomb and you are ready to hit it til you realize she's 14 years old! LOL!

Mets are now said to be emerging as a possible favorite for Bruce.
Mariners & Reds "are close" on a Zack Cozart deal. Writer from Seattle says it might be Cozart & a minor leaguer in exchange for 2 minors leaguers...topped by Mariners #5 prospect LHP-Luiz Gohara, a 20-year old from Brazil currently in Low-A. Gohara's fastball sits 92-95; has a MLB average slider which will be real tough on lefties & a good feel for his changeup. Has very good control. 11BB,58K in 44IP on the season.

Bruce to Mets looks like it is almost done. Yahoo Sports is saying OF-Brandon Nimmo is headlining the return to the Reds. Nimmo is the Mets #5 prospect who was the Mets 1st rd pick, #13 overall in 2011. Nimmo,23, bats lefthanded, hits for good average. He's got a career .278 batting average in the minors, but is hitting .336 in AAA this years. A prospect who's always been younger than the average age of his league, so he's been challenged coming up through the system. He's shown great batting practice power, but hasn't always translated to games. He's hit .236 with a .300OBP in 60 plate appearances for the Mets this year. Can play CF or in our case most likely RF. Has pretty good plate discipline.
2 low-level minor leaguers are expected to come with Nimmo.

Not so fast. Medical issues.
Nimmo was having a hell of a year at AAA and he is very young but the 2015 season and before look fairly pedestrian to me. Brad?

You know I hope this is true. It's time to just get on with it in every aspect. Let's go!

WTF is going on here. First the Jays now the Mets really trying to fleece us with injured players. Talk about no respect towards Walt and this organization. At least someone is looking out for us. Let's hope it's all hearsay.

Let's hope it's all hearsay. It could be the Mets. Remember at the deadline last year that had a deal for Carlos Gomez of Milwaukee completely done that collapsed after a Mets prospect included in the deal had a shady medical record. Mets had to have know the Reds would have caught it after nixing a deal in the winter due to medicals.

Mets-Reds re-working deal. The issue wasn't with Nimmo, but with one of the lower level prospects coming to the Reds. Hopefully they can smooth it out quickly.

Let's hope this deal gets done in time. Knowing Walt's luck he'll be left with his dick in his hand.

But it very clear they could make a train wreck out of nocturnal emissions!

Lose the contract and open up a spot for somebody. Whatever get it done and move on. These fucks could trade their way out of a wet paper bag. We're not getting shit. My comment was the only lowly positive. Tell the Mets to include a tractor trailer of Nathan's Hot Dogs. They can do $1 dogs on Walt Jocketty Bobblehead night! HAHA!!
