If we have a 5-6 run lead I hope Price goes to Cingrani, wood, Storen or Peralta. Rest Iglesias and lorenzen unless they get to within 3 runs

Ok tell me what you think. This will work or no it won't? Lets say it is June 2018. Cozart is long gone. Senzel is up. 1b Votto 2b Herrera ss Peraza 3b Senzel lf Winker CF Hamilton rf SUAREZ? ? Can this work? Schebler and Duvall one benched one traded can Suarez play RF AT LEAST DECENT. Billy can cover ton of ground but would that work on road in bigger OFs? I think so you keep on of Duvall or Schebler. Probably Schebler because I think Duvall lands you a better player in trade. Schebler can play RF or LF in bigger ball parks. What say you guys? I can't answer you completely with my opinion because I don't know how much better Senzel can be on the defensive side. I simply just don't know enough about his defense to comment. Perhaps it would be better to move Senzel to right and leave that vacuum at third? The rest I agree.

This gives us flexabilty. Like Cubs do. Suarez super utl guy. Like a Zobrist. Suarez starts somewhere 145 games a season. I dont know the first thing about Senzel or Herrera to make a call on that.

Sounds good. Eric good point about Senzel and RF. He is a butcher by all accounts. Andy I know nothing about Herrera except he is supposed to be a good hitter. Just trying to figure out how they are gonna keep Suarez,Senzel and Winker in lineup. Winker is supposed to be slow as a catcher and terrible OFer. But he can hit so he will find a corner OF spot somewhere. RF OR LF. Having Billy in CF allows to slow guys on the corners at home at least. They may won't to look into a good fielding guy who can backup CF. That's why I thought Jennings wouldve been kept. Billy is injury prone and I don't like Schebler in CF for a long period.

Suarez is a good hitter and good athlete He would adjust to outfield easily Other than Winker do the reds have any real prospects in the minors. I would hate to give up on a good hitter. None of our three current outfielders are proven

Nice inn. by Wood. Surprised Arroyo the so called inns eater was pulled after 5. Would think Price would have tried to get him through 6. I guess he felt like he played with fire long enough. Arroyo vs. Cubs for sure now Sunday.

So is Ervin a bust now? Is that where we are at? Seriously. No bad intentions of me asking. Just wanting to see what the consensus is? Because I don't think he is. I hate this phone. Friggin auto spell check. Why would I say is Ervin a busy? ?? Damn.

Schebler got crazy power. I hope Reds don't give up on him and trade him away for nothing. I still think he has given good at bats for most part. Not tonight though.

I think they project him as a 4th OFer. I say he will be up here before year is out. I would like anybody over Alcantara. I am 50 and I guarentee you I would have caught that popup and ground ball right at him Sunday. Hell all of us on this board would have and we could all strike out hacking at every pitch we see like Alcantara does.

Alcantara reminds me of one of Jim Bowden's TOOLS GUYS HE USED TO LOVE. They looked like great athletes in a uniform but couldn't play the game worth a darn.

I may be in minority here but I really like Barnhart. I wish he could drive the ball a little more. Cause if he could IMO he could be all star calibar player. But his lack of extra base hit power holds him down. I think he works great with the staff. They need to play Mesoraco though and hope he stays healthy and hits. So they can trade him in July.

OK if Price was gonna use Reed why didn't he use him last inning instead of Wood? He could have used Reed to try and go 4 innings. He wonders why the pen is taxed.

Ervin's started out great so far this season, hit 2 dingers in one game a few days ago, was hitting .367'ish, so I agree that it's waaay too early to mark him off. Senzel's a hitting machine, D does evidently need work. LaValley's doing well early I believe w/ the bat, but he's a 1B-man, and that's kind of blocked till the end of time. Most of this I've gotten from DougDirt on twitter, sure Brad can or has updated us on these kids, haven't been able yet to get up to date on his minor league update thread which is my own damned fault.

Do you think they project Ervin as a starter down the road or a 4th OFer pinch hitter type?
