It's the rotation that's not trustworthy. If You gets yanked early Stephenson is getting 3 innings tomorrow. I said that earlier in the thread. If that's the case, I am ok with it. Eric,Rod I maybe off base here but I get the feeling that they are or was gonna piggyback Davis/Reed and in case Garrett had trouble like Davis did they were gonna use Stephenson in long relief. I bet one of Davis/stephenson or Reed goes to AAA to start. Someone has to go for Arroyo's old butt. Unless they keep them all and send the ASTIN kid down.

So glad for Garrett. And like I was saying before the game Garrett having a good start is good for the team. Because him having success will drive Reed and Stephenson and Davis and even Romano and Castillo to look at him and say to themselves "I can do this". I formed a new theme from this tonight in this thread= "The Win Contagion"! What do you think for the Reds 2017 theme?!

No matter how this season unfolds at least we have some new blood. The kids are getting a shot that is all we can ask for. Last couple years has been hard to watch losing with old guys who we knew wasn't gonna be here for the next good Reds team.

I said that the other day that they should piggyback the starters. My guess is they give Davis 1 more start then make a decision. Or just go with a 6 man rotation and give Reed, Davis, and Stephenson 3 starts each then make a decision. Having an extra bench bat is just not a big deal. We aren't 1 turn through the rotation to make decisions yet though.

We are 4 games in and you are handwringing over roster decisions that aren't even close to needing to be made. Anyway cheers to that!

With all teams carrying 7 bull pen guys and about half carry 8. I wonder if mlb will have 26 man rosters down the road? Gives you a 5 man bench. I bet mlbpa has already tried for this.

This IS rebuilding and it's exciting no matter what. You get to see what you really have.

Did watch some of the Braves-Pirates game today and saw him boot a double play ball on a routine grounder. I smiled.

But it's April and racking up wins you just have to agree with. A fast start could drive this young team to excel. Fingers crossed bro.
