Brad,
I know Winker has been hot. And we know there is going to be barking about calling him up. The chant of OBP OBP OBP. Wanted to know where you are with this? I look at it like he can't replace the power of Duvall or Schebler and he can't replace the speed of Hamilton. I doubt his OBP translates to the big leagues at that mark, so really unless we need a slap hitter with a .340 OBP we don't need him. I worried about a lack of power with this offense. I am pleased where we are at. And Duvall has been very clutch and is making adjustments this year. Honestly I don't want to hear the Winker bark or the call for trades of any of our OF'ers.

My 2 cents is unless there is a injury he isn't getting called up. I wouldn't be surprised if Duvall,Schebler or Winker isn't dealt though.I would say odds of one OFer being dealt is pretty good. The Reds have a lot of pieces they could trade for pitching. A OFer or Mez and of course Cozart. Might they deal Peraza or even Suarez? Iglesias is also a possiblilty. I wouldn't rule out anyone outside of Votto being traded. I would listen to any good offer if I were the Reds. We need pitching IMO even when the guys who are injured come back. The Reds will never be big players in signing a pitcher so we are gonna have to trade for pitching because we have no luck in drafting any.

Name me 1 contender who will deal a legitimate starting pitcher?
Maybe we get a legitimate starter from a non contending team wanting to dump salary. Doubt the Reds would do that.
I could see the Reds making multiple deals and go into 2018 "Ready to contend" and having once again a midpack offense, bullpen, and rotation and being a 75-80 win team.
I would flat out BUY a starting pitcher in a salary dump for 1 or 2 B level prospects. Right now we don't have a replacement infielder if Cozart is traded. Right now all I am seeing are negative trade scenarios. You keep treading the hamster wheel often enough you get nowhere. That's my 2 cents.
