Franderlyn Romero's Monday Report:
Dayton's most consistent starter on the year(though a bit older for the league at 23) has been traded to the Orioles for International signing pool money for the 2015-16 year(which ends in about 3 weeks). It likely means the Reds have identified an international to sign, and can use this money without going over their pool allotment and thus losing their 2016-17 funds.
-Tuesday's Starter Daniel Wright named International League Pitcher of the Week: 1-0,0.00; 9IP 3H 1R 0ER 0BB 8K

Candace Payne(laughing Chewbacca mom)'s Tuesday report: LOUISVILLE 5, SCRANTON 3 -Cody Reed(3-2,2.21) continued to countdown his days Cincinnati with another good start: 6IP 7H 2R 2ER 1BB 7K 1HR -Wandy Peralta(Sv.1,2.84) picked up his 2nd ever career save: 1IP 1H 1R 1ER 0BB 0K -Scott Schebler finally broke out with 3 hits including a double -Juan Perez(solo HR(3)), Jermaine Curtis(2B,RBI) & Raffy Perez(2B,2RBI) all with 2 hits -Scranton's Jake Cave went 3-4,2B,3B. Between AA(.288) & AAA(.362) he's hitting .311 5HR 25RBI and 3SB. That's better than any hitter we have in the system...but hey, we got Tyler Holt. PENSACOLA OFF DAYTONA 3, TAMPA 2 -Jake Paulson was on fire in a spot start: 3IP 0H 0R 0BB 6K -Ismael Guillon with an electric long relief outing: 4IP 2H 2R 2ER 4BB 6K -Nick Howard was Nick Howard: 1IP 0H 0R 1BB 0K -Jimmy Herget(1-0,2.05) benefitted from the late rally: 1IP 1H 0R 0BB 0K -Blake Trahan delivered a 2-run walk off single in the bottom of 9 -Chad Tromp & Jonathan Reynoso each with 2 hits LAKE COUNTY 4, DAYTON 3 -Ty Boyles was solid until the 5th: 4.2IP 6H 2R 2ER 0BB 3K HBP -Juan Martinez(3-2,2.22) took the L in long relief: 3IP 3H 2R 2ER 0BB 1K -Brantley Bell drove in 2 runs -Ed Charlton & Shane Mardirosian each with 2 hits. Notes: Reds 2014 3rd round pick Wyatt Stahan is out for the year after having Tommy John Surgery. He had a really good year in Dayton last year, and was off to a good start for Daytona this season. Also, Dayton OF-Narciso Crook is done for the year with shoulder surgery. He's a very toolsy guy, who looked like he was starting to piece things together in the early going. Losing Layne Somsen to the Yankees today was just f'n stupid. He cruised through the minors and I thought he had a chance to be a solid bullpen piece if given a chance(and he wasn't). I guess we tried to sneak him through waivers, but it didn't work. We could have lost Pacheo(who does nothing for our bench). Jumbo & Sampson have proven they suck at the MLB level, why werent' they placed through waivers. Fact is Jocketty is gone after this season, but is still making personnel moves, and it seems he definitely isn't looking long term with his decisions.

Foul made a comment earlier this week about how very few hitters had a good average, and the players had low power. I went in and created an organizational top 10 for multiple categories. I think it's pretty close, but sometimes it can be tricky if a player moved between levels, and I forgot. This took a little time, so I'll attempt to update this monthly. Enjoy! Offense: Pitching:
