Yorman Rodriguez at Daytona. What a dud! He's still rehabbing, and Louisville is on their All-Star Break, so I'd expect him to finish his rehab in AAA once Louisville resumes. Same with Jesse Winker, he's currently playing with the AZL Reds. He should be back with Louisville once their break is over as well.

Yorman though I don't think anything of. What's your take on these guys Brad?

I think Yelich can be a good comp for Winker. He's eventually good to hit for a nice average, not an abundance of HRs, but wearing the alleys out for doubles.
I'm still not ready to give up since he's still very young at just 23 which makes him the same age as Finnegan, Reed, Stephenson, etc. who are all just now making it. The only player younger on the 40-man is Peraza. Winker is also just 22. It just feels like Yorman has been around forever since we signed him at 16, which also made it to where we had to add him to the 40-man earlier than we should have. It's a shame injuries have gotten to him the past 2 season which has hampered a lot of critical development time when he needed it the most.
To put him in perspective:
He was 17 at Billings, 4 years younger than the average Pioneer League Player He was 18 at Dayton, 3.5 years younger than the average Low A Player At 19, he was split between Dayton(-2.6) & High-A Bakersfield(-3.6) At 20, he was split between Bakersfield(-2.9) & Pensacola(-4.2) At 21, in Pensacola(-3.5) At 22, In Louisville(-4.9)
So, he's was consistently playing against guys with more experience. I thought he was finally figuring it out pretty good in Louisville last year before he got hurt...showing better plate discipline, and more power than he'd previously shown. I think he may have been a case of "what could have been" if injuries have derailed him the past 2 years. He is out of options is a problem. I think he'll ultimately have a good MLB career, it's just a matter of if it will be with the Reds or not.

I just look at Yorman's numbers and it's hard to see even flashes of potential for me.

I just look at Yorman's numbers and it's hard to see even flashes of potential for me. I don't see much potential in Yorman. Their plan is to probably trade Bruce and put Yorman in right field. I'd rather see Shebbler get the time out there. I guess the could platoon them, though. Not sure they're smart enough to figure that one out, though.

If possible...move Bruce, Cozart, & Phillips(or release). Place Peraza at 2B, move Suarez back to SS where he looked much more comfortable, bring Duvall in to 3B, then Schebler and Yorman get extended OF looks.

I like the looks of this Trammell kid. Let's hope the organization doesn't try to change his plate approach.

I think it was Baseball America had him the 15th best prospect in the draft and he fell to us late in the 1st. Said to be very talented, and very raw.
