I would be pretty surprised if Winker makes the team out of spring training. I don't think any of the prospects that started in our system are remotely ready. Brad, as I'm sure you are conscious of, we get rid of Bruce we essentially have to replace the entire outfield. Hamilton will get the full year but I am already seeing him as total failure material. He recognizes zero in the box and can't hit a lick(which is the reason I'm not high on Peraza because these 2 are like twin brothers).That's why I'm ready to keep shipping people out for prospects. Lot of spots to fill. AS of December 2015 this is how I see the OD lineup: 1)Phillips(2B) 2)Suarez(3B)) 3)Votto(1B) 4)Mesoraco(C) 5)Shebler(RF) 6)Duvall(LF) 7)Peraza(SS) 8)Hamilton(CF) For now at least.. |

If he's healthy, I still think Cozart will be the opening day SS, and if Phillips isn't moved, Peraza will start in AAA...which is ok by me. I think you keep Cozart, let him play healthy and hopefully rebuild some value and move him at the trade deadline...at which time Peraza comes up. Don't be surprised too if Yorman Rodriguez is starting in RF. He's out of options, and must stick in the majors now...Plus he has much more raw talent than Shebler.

How is a top prospect in your system not ready to play for a 90+ loss team? Brad and Rod, can you explain to me what they have to do to be "ready "? Age 2 more years? Age 3 months? 90+ losses......
