Offense doing it's part scoring 6 and 7 runs in 2 of these games. That makes 10 of the last 13 games they have scored 4 or more runs. Bullpen again excellent. But much like last season the starters are in a year long extended spring training. In 10 of the last 16 games they have gone 5 or less. This series they were downright pitiful. And management's big push for help comes with Harvey. Laugher! How about doing some work after October.

It is a laugher, for more reasons than one. They talk about extending Harvey slowly, since he has been starting for awhile. He's on a very tight pitch count right now. But he lasted longer than the young bucks who have been starting. And to be perfectly honest, unless they were absolutely lights out, they wouldn't have pitched much longer than what Harvey did in SF. And that's the problem... they weren't even close to being lights out. He's started two games for us now and he looks better than anything we have already.
But I guess we shouldn't bash on our pitchers too much. There are quite a few very nice bats in that Giant lineup. We can't forget that the Giants were very active on that front in the offseason. They are loaded with enough to feast on young, inconsistent pitching, which we have. At least Finnegan is out of that mix now. And, hey, Desclafani is on rehab assignment!
I don't hold out much hope for additions being made after October this year. Our front office tends to show that it's behind the curve on making decisions, so I don't expect them to do much by the trade deadline either.
