Really much to do about nothing. Both are free agents at seasons end. Maybe Harvey can pitch decent and get us a better prospect than Mesoraco couldve as a backup catcher

An overpriced pitcher who can't stay healthy who's sucked for 3 years in exchange for an overpriced catcher who can't stay healthy and has sucked for 4 years. Both had potential to be stars, but it hasn't worked. Maybe a little change of scenery will do both of them good. I think I saw we are sending cash to the Mets too since there is about an $8M difference in their salaries.

Mez was a letdown for me anyway. The kid had so much potential, but can't stay healthy. Harvey hadn't looked good this year. Maybe he can turn it around with a new environment. Dude has an ERA of 7.20 this season? What happened to him?

Mesoraco had great potential but probably should have switched positions when the injury bug started. Corner outfield spot or 3rd might have been his thing. I know they tried him in left, but that was after several long stints on the DL. Of course, First was not an option.
