If the Bengals are successful in pulling their heads out of their asses, a new coach may want to start over at QB and Josh Allen is my pick. Allen is 6'5", weighs 225 pounds, has a strong arm, can make all the throws and is a threat when scrambling. If the Bengals draft him in round one, I think it would be a great pick. The Bengals can then focus on beefing up their offensive line and run defense (DT, ILB) in the later rounds.
The Cowboys are getting ready to play Central Michigan in the Idaho Potato Bowl. I can't wait to see how well Allen plays. A good showing could propel him into the Bengals laps come April.

Josh Allen looked great in Wyomings bowl victory. Allen demonstrated his incredible arm strength by throwing a 25 yard bullet to his receiver for his teams first TD. Most NFL talking heads describe Allen as being very raw, but I think their analysis is a bit stretched. Allen is raw, but he's also quite accomplished in a few areas as well. Allen is a great scrambler and he can make throws while on the run. Dalton struggles with both of these attributes. Anyway, playing behind Dalton for a year would go a long way in preparing Allen for the NFL. It's important to point out though that Allen isn't a 'sure thing'. There's some risk involved for the team that drafts him, but his upside is tremendous.
When a team has a chance to draft a QB with a lot of upside, they should almost always pull the trigger. Andy Dalton will turn 31 at the beginning of next season, thus it makes sense to find his replacement this year in a QB rich draft. If the Bengals don't draft a QB in round one, they may be able to draft a really good one in round two such as Mason Rudolph or Luke Falk. As it stands right now, I think Lewis will draft Roquan Smith in round one if he's still on the board. If not, he'll target one of the three top LT's which include Connor Williams, Mike McGlinchey and Kolton Miller.
