Playing out the string. Hard to tell anything that is really going on with the pitching because we are having live tryouts. But I will say that since the starters turned the corner 10 series ago they have a 3.91 ERA. Before this series it was 3.36. That is how badly they did. But it's a worthy tracking stat in light of how bad they have been all year. The bullpen though has been dismal practically since the break. Not sure how you can cast any positive light on a bullpen that has a 6.08 ERA in the last 10 series.
And the offense has been dismal in the last 4 series. I contemplated going down this weekend. But with work to do at home and some R and R in order I'm going to pass. Against Boston it's likely to be another gloom fest. So let's hope for the best next spring and let's get together for some damn games boys!
