I just watched a great video that illustrates some of Dalton's woes and how the team is starting to abandon him. Also, take notice of all the bad throws Dalton had vs. the Texans WHEN HE HAD GREAT PROTECTION! I'm just a bit tired of all the undue criticism the o-line is receiving because of Dalton's crazy and downright terrible play. Several of the sacks that Dalton has taken this year are his fault and not that of the o-line. For example, Dalton has had a few opportunities to step up into the pocket and make a throw, but instead, he chooses to run right into (trouble) defenders. Dalton has also had time to throw the ball away to avoid a sack, but he decides it's best to hang onto the ball and loose yardage. And don't forget that nutty pass in week one where he threw the ball right after the snap EVEN THOUGH HE WASN'T BEING PRESSURED! www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMzowhM57jw

Ive been saying it for years. Dalton stinks. He can't handle pressure. He panics. Hes not accurate on the long ball. When he is pressured he either gets sacked, many plays where he doesn't even try to escape the rush he looks like a scared little girl. Or he tries to force the ball into coverage and gets picked off. Theres a saying we all have heard, take what the defense gives you. And if they give you nothing take nothing its better than losing yards.
The only reason Dalton looks good at times, is because of the talent that surrounds him. If we had a Tom Brady or a Aaron Rogers there would be no stopping this team. I will give MB credit. He's said it, he didn't want to draft Dalton. Its time to sit Dalton and see what AJ can do. McCarron almost won a playoff game and he didn't lose it Hill Burfict and jones lost us that game and I felt bad for McCarron. I think AJ is more accurate than Dalton, he has more heart and more guts. He's a fighter. He doesn't give up. But this won't happen unless Dalton gets injured.

McCarron's mental game is light years ahead of Dalton's craziness. Like I posted a few months ago, any part of Dalton's game that one may think is superior to that of McCarron's, isn't aware that it's made up for and then some by McCarron's mental toughness and leadership capabilities.

77 we knew we had to be a mini rebuild and were calling for a Dalton trade or cut loose and a Marvin firing for 2 years! I have a Bengals passion. Yours and Lost's blow mine away but we all been dying for the same things to happen.

Yours and Lost's blow mine away but we all been dying for the same things to happen. This team will never be a legitimate Super Bowl contender until Mike Brown is out of the picture. (Once he's gone, there's still no guarantee that Brown's family will be any different). Brown is personally responsible for all the misery we fans, players, coaches, etc., have endured over the last 25 years. He is the greediest owner in all of sports and doesn't care about winning a Super Bowl. He only cares about lining his pockets by keeping the team semi-competitive in an attempt to distract us from his miserly ways. Lewis chaps my ass in many ways from his Chesser Cat smirk (especially after losses) to his unwillingness to play rookies. But what has my ass baked is his refusal to bench Dalton in favor of McCarron. And guess what? I know why. In Lewis' mind, the last thing the Bengals need right now (considering all their other problems) is a QB controversy. What Lewis fails to see is the bigger picture and/or the future of this team. At 0-2, the Bengals don't have much of a shot at making the post-season. They have the talent to get the job done, but not the ownership/head coach to see that it does. Therefore, it would be wise of the Bengals, and in particular, Marvin Lewis, to find out if McCarron has what it takes to lead this team now and for the next several years or if they should draft a QB in next years semi-deep QB class. Dalton is 29 years old, so his chances of being with this team and leading it to a Super Bowl victory once these problems are sorted out are slim to none. Drafting a QB has got to be considered as things stand right now. Ideally, it would be nice if McCarron stepped in and proved that he's capable in leading this team to a Super Bowl victory. If that were to happen, the Bengals could then focus on strengthening their o-line by drafting OT Mike McGlenchy out of Notre Dame or OG/C Billy Price out of Ohio State or OT Trey Adams out of Washington. Drafting two o-linemen within the first three rounds would be the smart thing to do given how talent laden this draft will be come April.

I just read that some of the players want them to bring in Kapernick. I don't think that will happen. Too much distraction and his own team mates didn't like him. Plus they wud have to be ready to be completely done with Dalton they wud have to release him to make cap room. If it does happen, I will quit following the Bengals and find another team to follow. I don't want this idiot on my team. I'd rather go with AJ or even keep Dalton.

I don't see too much difference between losers and politics. If Kapernick came here I would officially fold the tent up and never watch a Bengals game again.

I stop myself short out of necessity. As Bengals' fans we just don't have the freedom to dream like that. It's a very sad truth man.

You know the other thought has hit me at times. I probably could will myself to stop watching anything Bengals til Mike Brown dies. I bet after a year or two it would get easy. I bet many have done that. Too much inner turmoil to do though. How do you guys feel about these type of things?

However, I don't see how it could get much worse. I'm just guessing here, but I'm fairly confident that at some point, the Commissioner and his inner staff, have discussed the problems (Mike Brown) facing the Bengals and what steps, if any, they should take. I'm also fairly confident that the Commissioner, or those that speak on his behalf, have spoken to Brown about how poorly he runs the team along with suggestions on how to run it more professionally.

It is just so sparklingly clear that a championship is never the goal. A winning regular season is as good as it is ever going to get. The 9-7 Immortality!

What's sad is they have talent. No doubt in my mind that we have more talent than Baltimore or Houston. Playoffs are already over after 2 games. We ain't winning in Green Bay so 0-3 before Sept is over season is over. Sad. We still won't get to see A.J. play or Mixon get 20 carries or any of the young guys get many snaps. They will continue to run out the old guys and we will know nothing about any of the young guys for future.
