Don't look now but this team is quickly becoming extremely loaded. I am talking about dominance for a extended period of time type loaded. The amount of quality starting pitching this team is going to have at their disposal to deal is mind boggling. I haven't been able to contribute much this season again, but just take into consideration Stephenson tonight. That was supposed to be a weak link. It ain't. Potential for 4 30 home run batters and all world defense. What's not to like about next season? No reason to go out and get a damn thing for once unless someone is willing to way overpay.
Fixing to be a glorious time to be a Reds fan!

And for you watching the game tonight. I'm not talking about Hernandez who throws 98. His shit is arrow straight. That might work in double a. But it don't float at the ml level. Feel sorry for him. But get rid of the bum.

I was down on Stephenson. He always has had the stuff but couldn't come up with a coherent game plan. This is fun to watch. If he can gain slightly more control he could go deep into games. We are definitely starting to see some clarity coming into focus. But the rotation is far, far from being secure. This has lasted only 5 series and getting past 5 innings is still a battle.

Too many arms for me to be remotely concerned about the starting rotation next season.

But get rid of the bum. Wouldn't worry a ton about Ariel Hernandez yet. The dude hadn't thrown a single inning above High-A until this season. He just needs to be more consistent. When he's on, he can be unhittable is witnessed by his 24K in 16IP.

Dick Williams has hinted that he plans to try and trade as he put it for a pitcher of significance. I have saw a few rumors or Marcus Stroman being a possiblity. If that's the case that will take a Ofer and probably Stephenson,Romano or Mahle and another prospect or two.

I like Stroman but I agree with Eric. I would just as soon roll with the young guys let them fight it out for rotation spots send losers to AAA. I would trade a OFer though. For a pitcher. Wouldn't have to be a starter a good late inn. reliever would work. Iglesias has been lights out. Lorenzen and Peralta has been ok. We could use another Lefty in the pen.

I'm watching tonight too......Reds getting killed 6-1.
I admit, I've watched but a handful of games this season. The negatives way outweigh the positives of this team for me.

My mlb.tv subscription has been a waste of money this year. I haven't watched since June.
