Rod,I am piggybacking off you and I talking in another thread. Can you pin this the top so it don't get lost?  Anyway lets pick a date that a few of us can meet up and go to a game. We have been talking to each other for years and years online. How about a meet up? Other boards meet up at the ball park why can't we??? I know Davis is in Indiana or Ill. Chris Tenn? Eric ky. Tim in Fla. 40 Indiana? VB??? Foul,Clinz and Rod are close by. Clay in Ohio I think. Andy N.C ? I know we couldn't all be able to make a game on the same day. But this far in advance lets try to get as many guys together as possible. I would have to do a weekend perfer Sat but Sun would work. Summer would be best. But If I know a couple months in advance I could take a day off in spring or fall. Chime in everyone. Lets do this!!!!!!!!! |

If you think about it on the baseball side of the board there is only about 12 of us left. Let try to get 8 or so for a meet up. Heck all 12 would be even better.

I can't guarantee anything schedule wise and budget wise with all my kids and stuff, (I think it's a ten or 12 hr ride from here in NC) but if I can make it, July and early August would b best for me. While school is out.
We've been talking about doing this for years but never have. It's time we at least made an effort to try to all go to a game next season.

I'm down at any time. I think it would be best to take a poll to see what would be best for everybody. NO need for an actual poll but for instance let's say what date in September of this year.
There is a weekday day game Monday September 4th against Milwaukee. I like playing hookie from work and doing these games!
There are weekend day games on Sept 16th-17th on a Sat/Sun vs Pittsburgh and Sept 23-24th on a Sat/Sun vs Boston.
Of course there are 2 firework Friday games in both those series also.
That's pretty much it. I like day games and prefer it not to be a Sunday so that's the extent of my input!

Anyone out there still down with watching this train wreck of a team? I am actually going to catch a Indian-Angel game in August. Going to go to the nation baseball card show in Cleveland. Rod I don't do facebook but if you do maybe you could try to put something together sometime where a few of us could try to go.
I am not trying to throw all of this on you just a suggestion. I am off bout half the time now on weekends. If not this year we really need to do this. None of us are getting any younger. We been talking for years from behind a screen. High time we meet up. Where has Davis been? Probably just had enough of the cluster mess this team has become.

Really a weekend Saturday would be good most of the time. I do have to work a few weekends. But I usualy know by Monday if I have to work the weekend or not. I know that isn't much of a warning though.
