I find it pretty amusing for a change to see another pitching staff fail! San Diego walked us 23 times in 4 games so we had some help. But we bashed 11 HR's and went 12 for 31 RISP to bury them in this series. I was shocked to see we scored 8 unanswered late in the game yesterday. Home sweet home! Castillo again had the only quality start and owns 3 of 4 in the last 11 games. He is going to be a good one. And for Straily. I love it! Wojo was rolling through 5 scoreless before imploding allowing 2 HR's in the 6th. He has decent stuff and is intelligent. Breaking ball is excellent. I'll always raise an eyebrow for a guy like this. I'm rootin for him anyway. Be interesting to see him get stretched out more. The bullpen was nails pretty much throughout. And other than a passed ball the defense doing what it does as a top 4 in baseball. Felt good to get some enjoyment out of the team. Watched some whole games in this one. Anybody out there watching a couple?!

Wojo is kinda just average at best. But that tells you the sad state of Reds pitching. If season started today I would say he would have to be one of the 5 in the rotation. His stuff is kinda blah but difference between him and anyone not named Castillo is that he isn't afraid to throw strikes. I hope he makes staff next year but I hope it is as a long man and not a starter. Because I hope that we will have upgraded our pitching enough so that Wojo won't be needed to start.
