17 year old 6'3" 190lb rhp out of a California HS. Has hit 102 on the gun. Off the charts makeup. Let's just hope he can stay healthy, and he can be a major star for baseball.

Sounds like a no brainer of a pick, but I have to wonder how durable he will be. A pitcher's arm only has so many pitches in it. I don't think it's common place for a HS pitcher to already be hitting 102 on the radar and at 17 hadn't even dropped his nuts yet. Very early to be putting that much stress on an undeveloped arm.

Most of the "experts" considered Greene to be the top prospect in this draft. Also has a very good changeup, and a good curve. There's definitely more risk with a HS pitcher, but the upside is so much higher than anyone else in this draft.
Rd 1 Comp Balance(#32): SS-Jeter Downs(Miami,FL HS). Named after Derek Jeter. MLB has him as the #38 prospect. His HS produced MLB'ers Alex Fernandez & Gio Gonzalez. Solid defensive SS, above average range & arm. Has good power and is aggressive at the plate & on the basepaths. Fast riser up the draft boards this spring
Rd 2(#38): OF-Stuart Fairchild(Wake Forest U). MLB Ranked #57. Nice Power/Speed combo, but suspect arm and rawness in CF when it comes to reading routes to the ball may push him to LF. Named a Freshman All-American, but struggled mightily his Sophomore year. He rebounded this season regaining his lost power. He struggled in the Cape Cod League last summer using a wood bat. Does a great job drawing walks & getting HBP. Considered to have one of the highest ceilings of the college prospects in the draft.

Here's what will happen with Hunter Green.... he won't be allowed to pitch more than 150 innings until 2022. At that point, they'll call him up for bullpen duty and then he'll become the closer by 2024.

Rd 3(77): LHP-Jacob Heatherly(Mlb #45) out of Cullman HS(AL). Sits 90-93 with his fastball, but secondary pitches & control need work. Has a big frame & is rather athletic. May have to overpay to prevent him from going to college.
Rd 4(107) SS-Cash Case out of the First Academy(FL). He is an adequate defender and has a good frame which can potentially fill out nice. Has become friends with Hall of Famer Bob Feller who is mentoring him. He's fluent in Madarain. Currently committed to Notre Dame. Will most likely play at 2B
Rd 5(137) RHP-Mac Sceroler(MLB #154) out of SE Louisiana Univ. He was a closer in his Freshman year before moving to the rotation. fastball sits at 91-93, and has a nice 12-6 curve. Throws strikes and projects to be a #4-#5 starter.
Rd 6(167) RHP-Tyler Buffet out of Oklahoma St. Univ. Fastball runs 88-92, good curve, workable changeup. Really struggled late in his senior year, especially with control. Was a 7th rd pick by the Astros, but went back to school. Warren Buffet's cousin.
Rd 7(197) C-Mark Kolozsvary out of the Univ of Florida. Athletic behind the plate, with a good arm. Didn't catch regularly until this season, and then only after the regular starter got hurt.
Rd 8(227) RHP-Ryan Connor out of Univ of Illinois-Chicago. First pure reliever pick. Fastball can touch 92. Great control. Improved BB & K rates each season
Rd 9(257) LHP-Packy Naughton out of Virginia Tech Univ. He was a Friday night starter(which is the team's #1) in college for 2 year, but demoted to the bullpen this season. Fastball can hit 95, but secondary pitches leaves plenty to be desired. Pitched much better in the Cape Cod League last summer than he has at VT.
Rd 10(287) RHP-Robby Howell out of Central Florida Univ. Tough competitor. AAC Pitcher of the year and 2nd team All-American. Projects to be an "innings eater".
