He is Boston's 6th or 7th starter. Pitched all but 2 games in minors this season. Was called up yesterday for a spot start and threw a complete game shutout. His reward for that? Sent back to AAA after the game.
He pitched a good bit with them in 2015 and some last year. He seems to usually be really good or really bad. Not much in between for him.
I wouldn't think it would take more than a B level prospect to get him. He may very well be a bust but he could also be a nice pickup for the Reds who are starving for pitching.
Thoughts anyone?
