You hit OK. Could have used a few more walks but hit .292 RISP and score 15 runs and get swept. You would have needed to score 28 runs to win the series so we know where the problem lies this series. No quality starts and both sides of the pitching equation walked roughly 7 batters per 9 innings. 19 walks in 24 innings to 20 strikeouts. We got great pitching in San Fran and no hitting. Then hitting and no pitching in Chi town. Bad teams find ways to lose. Before this road trip we were doing everything we could to win. Total disaster of a road trip and the team became unglued posting up it's worst defensive series of the year. Kicking balls, not making plays, dropping balls because of wind and sun. 3 errors and 4 unearned runs. Anyway let's see if we bounce back. This team clearly has bipolar disorder..

The D has been unassailable, but after the last 2 series, I'm ready to assail 'em. Pitiful. Zart' and even Peraza's goofs I get, mishandling grounders, bad throws etc. happen. Not catching popups/flyballs, getting out of the way of hard hit shit makes me crazy. The pitching was bad in Chitown and they're pretty good but w/ out the absolute shitting themselves on D they might've won 1 or 2 at least. Seemed intimidated to me. Against these top of the world offenses these puss pitchers HAVE to pitch inside and if they miss, hit guys. Have to. Rizzo would hit 60+ HR's every yr. if the likes of the reds' pitchers pitch to him like they did/do. Lots to learn and a bad teacher at the helm. Hope he at least teaches the pitchers better mechanics/to throw quality strikes before he's shitcanned after this season.

The Rockies come to town this weekend. The scores could look identical to the Chicago series. We are going to have to score 8-10 runs a game.
