In case anyone missed it Ktubbs pinch hit for San Francisco and STRUCK OUT. He was just about to turn and walk towards Reds dugout as he has taken that walk hundreds of times before. I had Chris Archer go 6 innings with 12 K tonight with a lead and Jumbo Diaz come in and fuck it up! Can't believe these guys are still in baseball. |

I'm probably wrongly ASSuming that Senzel will be up next yr./maybe as early as this Aug.'ish to play 3rd. Either Suarez or Peraza can do fine at SS from what I've seen, just Peraza's played a bit of CF and didn't look lost out there. So if BH is gone or continues to be ineffective(career wise, not this week) the reds do have decent options for center. Think he's hitting .229 in high A last I checked! We have a good game and everybody starts wanting to change out players and positions=cracks me up boys! LOL!  |

12-3 game Gives plenty of time to post on Reds future Cozart is going to be gone I'm not knocking talking futures Foul. Just Cozart doesn't need to be gone til we have an actual replacement for him and we don't have it for any infield position available. If Cozart IS gone for anything less than a real starting pitcher, which IMO is highly doubtful, it's stupid just to get him gone because he needs to "Be gone". I saw the need for Phillips to be gone. But not Cozart. Just my take man! |

MLB trade rumors had an article on him yesterday, thinking he'll get somewhere around 3 yrs. 50MM(16.67MM/yr) or more. Just comparing him to other SS's that have recently hit FA, low water mark would be 12MM for 4-5 yrs., take that for whatever it's worth. |

Just had to show you this snapshot from doing tonight's box score! The most impressive thing about it is that Zero HR's for our heroes tonight. But, I'll say pump the brakes a tad, that BABIP bitch was w/ the Rojo's tonight in a big way. I'll also give credit to many that went oppage for base-hits(Don Long maybe?) beating shifts/tendancies. You know, like old school batters did for a century before power hitting SABRE shit changed the game so much. And again, you can't blame the players, they do what is necessary to get the next big contract(exception being the very team the reds destroyed tonight). Teams playing winning baseball instead of just individuals getting their OPS's up regardless of situation seems to be rare in today's game, but pays off at the negotiating table for the individual player. Same thing w/ bullpen usage. Hope the game changes more to enhance WINNING than all these $ stats that players chase. |
