8:30 first pitch / Jim Day, Yeah baseball! Can't believe Cain's era so far, he'd fallen off a cliff till this early season after being a top line starter yrs. ago. Hope it's just deflated by all those canyon/ballparks out west.

rumors are Dusty's Nats are after Cain and Herrera from K.C. or Robertson fron Whitesox.
We can't help them with closer but they could move Trea Turner to CF and we could send them Cozart. Ole Dusty would love to stick Cozart in the 2 hole in the lineup.
Or we could send them Billy. Dusty would love that. A fast CFer who won't clog up the bases with a bunch of stupid walks.
Plus fast CFers must leadoff in Dusty's world. I say Dick get on the phones.

We all complain at some time about BH, but when he gets on base the reds are tough to beat. Votto sac fly brings BH in, bloop by Suarez brings in Duvall, 2-0 good guys! Billy is so fun to watch play. IMO he and Votto are guys worth paying to see play. But as you know Billy is the most frustrating player maybe ever. I think if he just had some bigger wrists he would be damn near unstopable on a ball field. I think we have saw enough of Billy by now to know he is what he is. He won't get much better and his speed won't last forever, but man is he fun to watch play CF and run the bases. And as you say when he does get on the Reds win. Saw where they timed side by side on video of Billy and Bengals John Ross. Billy running 90 feet from 3rd to home and ROSS running same distance. Billy won by a good step maybe step and a half. So Cincinnati has fastest MLB player and NFL player. |
