The wheels have come off. All you can do is hope they have the wherewithal to bounce back.
We have been scoring runs in the last 6 games but in the first 3 series we won we hit .248 or higher in those and in the last 4 series we have lost we have hit .231 or less in 3 of the 4. There was no great shakes in this one. Everybody with a bat is pissed because all 5 runs in the last 2 days have been via the longball.
The wheels came off for the starters obviously but an ERA of 15.00+ is near impossible. Bullpen in 3 of last 4 series have an ERA of 4.15 or higher. No surprise as they have pitched 48% of the innings thrown this year(94 of 197). Cross your fingers. I'd send Davis out with Stephenson(who I think is out). Let Reed pitch as I do think he has the talent. Call up the latest couple arms. Some of these guys have to seize command of the opportunity. It is amazing to me their ineptitude. Garret I do think will bounce back. To be continued...
