Sanu signed with Falcons 7 Mill a year are you serious? No fucking way!! I missed that. That is Koo Koo for Cocoa Puffs! Jesus Christoph! A Bengals fan wet dream come true! (PJ and Steelerwoman, as you can tell, it doesn't take much...)

It's obvious the Bengals want to stay young, but Adam Jones is the exception. One could easily make the case that Jones was the best CB in the league last year and he hasn't lost a step. Maybe all those suspensions have added some years to his career.

I'm ok with Jones being gone. He's the #3 option. The money him and Sanu are being paid is ridiculous. I like the Iloka signing. I'd like to see Nelson back but there's got to be a time S. Williams needs to see some action. A. Jones maybe for another year to give Dennard and Shaw another year of experience. I'd love to see a DT and/or WR early in the draft. Good to hear that about the WR. I thought I was raising the bar too high with my expectations. Jones is good but how much can you pay a #3? I was blandino on Illoka but considering his age it makes sense. Pretty much agree with all this Linz. What do you think they do to address the WR position? 77 mentioned a speedy guy from Cleveland, fast slot type I think? Travis Benjamin would be a good signing but the Bengals would still need to add a good WR via the draft. Maybe two. Now that Jones and Sanu have moved on, I would like to see the Bengals extend Tyler Eifert now instead of waiting for him to become a free agent next year. Eifert is just too talented to risk losing to free agency and he may sign an extension if his new contract would include an increase in his salary for this year. It's a win-win for both sides.

If Boyd was there in the 2nd round. I would be salivating having him team up with AJ and Eifert. I agree his production would offset Jones and Sanu plus he's less expensive and adding to the core. That would be the perfect opportunity to pick up one of those DT's in round one. I think a good one will slip to us. Put him next to Geno. That would be awesome.

This is awesome news signing Jones. Like I said keep our D together. Now they don't have to draft a CB. They can look to LB, DT WR. Hopefully they sign Vincent Rey.

The Bengals are close to signing V Rey. After reading a few articles it makes sense that could be pretty much all they do as far as FA. Bengals.com make sense it is a fact Bengals usually only pick up cut players as apposed to FA so they don't lose comp picks. They will most likely look to the draft for 2 WR.
I think Coleman is a big possibly if he is there. I know they interviewed him. The 2nd pick and maybe 3rd will be most likely defense. Maybe grab another receiver in the 4th who knows. But things are coming a little clearer. They need to draft for depth on defense now outside of WR. Should be an exciting draft this year. Last years was a productive draft but not the sexiest. I think 2 WRs and the rest mostly defense should be a fun draft to watch.

Yeah I was really worried after Zimmer left the D slipped to mediocrity but they bounced back nicely last year and played excellent down the stretch. Keeping them together by and large was important. It is the foundation. With Dalton stepping his game up and the D intact next year looks good and we've just begun the offseason!

Draft'em and play'em. He does just about everything right. He plucks the ball nicely with very soft hands. Andj though he may not possess Will Fuller speed, he's not slow having ran a 4.5 forty at the combine which is just one-tenth of a second from having 'world class speed'. However, as things look right now, I think the Bengals are leaning towards one of the top WRs in round one OR OLB Noah Spence or OLB Derron Lee. Spence is a monster off the edge. He's so good at rushing the passer that offenses will have to scheme around him. He's a true difference maker. Lee is a capable play maker at all three levels of a defense. He can rush the passer, drop a back for a loss, stuff the hole (heh, heh; stuff the hole), defend the short and long pass and come up with interceptions and fumbles.

Just read they did sign Rey Christmas in March! Another good signing and he's still relatively young. However, I still would like to see Noah Spence (If he's cleaned up his act.) or Derron Lee added to the mix. A line-backing corps comprised of Vontaze Burfict, Noah Spence or Derron Lee, Rey Maualuga, Vincent Rey and Paul Dawson would be very formidable. The Bengals could eventually slide Burfict inside with Noah Spence on one side and Paul Dawson on the other. This would allow Maualuga to play to his strengths which is playing the run. Asking him to do things he's not capable of doing isn't fair to him or the team. Vinny Rey could be brought in to relieve any of the starters and he could probably find another role in several different defensive packages.

Rumblings of Dansby in the fold. I like the signing for a one year deal. Veteran LB who's still getting it done.

Nuff said. I think it was more important to keep Iloka. Iloka is a good safety. But it's now time for him to take the next step in becoming a great safety. Hie can achieve this by making big plays on a consistent basis. Tackles behind or near the line scrimmage is a good place to start along with getting more picks.
