Marvin Jones has a pending offer with Lions for 8 mill a year. Expected to sign today. Iloka resigns great news there

Marvin Jones' timing couldn't be better. He's the number one free agent WR out there so he's presented a contract that far exceeds his worth. Any team that thinks he's worth $8 million a year needs their head examined. Then again, we are talking about the Lions.
And by the way; good luck Marvin Jones. You're gonna need it!

Nuff said. I think it was more important to keep Iloka.

They also signed Eric Winston for 1 year 1.09 mill. Good backup

I'm ok with Jones being gone. He's the #3 option. The money him and Sanu are being paid is ridiculous. I like the Iloka signing. I'd like to see Nelson back but there's got to be a time S. Williams needs to see some action. A. Jones maybe for another year to give Dennard and Shaw another year of experience. I'd love to see a DT and/or WR early in the draft.

Good to hear that about the WR. I thought I was raising the bar too high with my expectations. Jones is good but how much can you pay a #3? I was blandino on Illoka but considering his age it makes sense. Pretty much agree with all this Linz. What do you think they do to address the WR position? 77 mentioned a speedy guy from Cleveland, fast slot type I think?

This is a good move. Keep the D intact. Give the younger CB ( Shaw and Dennard) more time to develop and make more of an impact. So far I'm happy with how FA is going. It would be nice to see one impactful FA signed. Let's see what kind of money Jones signed for. I have a feeling they might be leaning towards playing Williams instead of signing Nelson.

Sanu signed with Falcons 7 Mill a year are you serious? The Falcons are crazier than the Lions! Sanu is a four-million dollar a year WR. Four and a half million tops. Jones is a five to six-million dollar WR at best. I'm glad the Bengals didn't re-sign either one of them. Both have been heavily overpaid and I bet neither one of them play their contracts out. I hope the money comforts them through all those losses that lie ahead.

Nuff said. I think it was more important to keep Iloka. It's a great signing but I still want the Bengals to add a top safety from the draft. I've never seen so many quality safeties in a draft in my lifetime. There are at least six or seven that have pro-bowl potential. And with Reggie Nelson on the outside looking in, I think it's still a possibility. So far so good.

I couldn't have said it any better clinz. The Falcons and the Lions are nuts for shelling out that kind of money. If the Bengals would've signed both of them for the same amount, I'd be rather depressed right now. If the Bengals draft a WR within the first two rounds, I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up better numbers than both of them. Tyler Boyd would be a great round two pick. He has some of the best hands I've seen in quite some time. His hands suck up footballs like a vacuum cleaner and he had a great combine.
