They would either send Astin back down or Stephenson. I think it will be Reed like you sais unless he is used out of pen before Sun then it will 100% be Romano making the start. Astin is probably gonna be on a constant shuttle between Louisville and Cincinnati all season. I would guess. I recall everyone down on Bailey, including me, when he first came up. Same type ire towards Stephenson. Yeah it took Bailey for years to get it or so it seemed. I like Stephenson what little bit I have seen. He just has to trust his stuff.

I looked it up besides us 9 other teams have a 4 man bench as of today. Again I agree with you Eric it is stupd but we are seeing more and more teams going to it. When I was growing up in 70s teams had 7 man benchs. 90s teams dropped 6 2000s teams dropped to 5. Now we are in the beginning of 4 man benches. Within 3 years all teams will follow suit and every team will have 4 man benches. It all comes back to pitchers being coddeled from age 10 on up. How many were national league teams?

Colorado is no surprise they have went a man short on bench since they exsisted. The other two like us both have rotation question marks.

Extremely tough lineup of 7 or 8 righties against young Garrett. He'll need to use that changeup a bunch to be able to beat tilted lineups like this. Velocity seems a bit down so far, hitting rockets off of him but at'em balls, and BH running like a deer on that one.

The Reds and almost every other team in baseball has had rotation questions more seasons than not for the last 30 years. Never kept a team from having enough bench help to cover a injury or have a decent bat off the bench rather than having to use a pitcher for critical at bars as a pinch hitters.

I jst think it's a monkey see monkey do. copy cat league. Once a couple teams go with extra pitchers another teams thinks thats a good idea and evuantally every team follows suit.

Love having Garrett and Finnegan and maybe soon Reed in the rotation. Reds haven't had a good left hand starter in the rotation for years. Smiley and Schourek are last good ones I can remember. I am probably forgetting one. Any names pop into your heads ?
