First week in the books. I'm feelin pretty good about baseball life. Yesterday was no small feat. The team has character. They can coast along and put you to sleep at times then boom they have a lead. Yesterday they just seized command. I see a lot of heart and fight in these guys. It's been a taking turns hero so far and not a consistently collective effort. In many ways and I think it's just an April thing, it looks like extended spring training. We were a relatively consist offensive commodity late last year and I expect more of it. And even though every start in the rotation is a mystery and/or adventure I am rapt with an all consuming existential fascination and hanging on every inning! I can taste it! In 2010 once we started to get a steady diet of quality starts, the offense did the rest and we started stacking wins up. I am so anxious to see the takeoff. It's been seemingly so long. Let's go!

Feeling good overall. We just need at least one of Stephenson,Reed,or Davis to step up. We also need Romano to be here so Arroyo can be gone. I am hearing Mez is about to come back and they will go with 5 man bench having 3 catchers. I am good with that. Either Mez or Tucker will be able to pinch hit. Whoever isn't starting between the two. Still will have a Catcher on the bench after burning one as a PH. They love Turner's work behind the plate and he has a gun. I hear if they try to send him down Twins will 100% take him back. He clearly isn't ready for the big leagues with his bat though. I would just swing a trade with Minn so he could be sent out.
But forget roster moves to your point Rod. I am loving this team so far. We get decent pitching we will surprise teams. I felt going in Suarez and Schebler would bust out so far so good. I felt Duvall would flop. So far he has been great. They have to get Hamilton and Peraza out of the top two spot if they don't start getting on base. Suarez swings at the 2nd most pitches of any player in MLB. i WOULD GO Votto Suarez/Barnhart Duvall Schebler Mez/Suarez Cozart Peraza he can run amd make contact and hopefully guys ahead of him would be on base. He could be a decent rbi guy in this spot Pitcher/Hamilton Hamilton/pitcher. Everyone Chime in on this lineup Like or Hate it?

My one complain tonight. I swear I WILL KEEP IT TO JUST ONE. I love Peraza's bat. But he has to stop swinging at every pitch. He just has to or he won't be a starting player in the majors for long. Pitchers know this and they will not throw him a strike. Hard enough in the majors to hit good pitches much less balls. I know Vlad Guerrero made a career out of doing it, but he is a exception they aren't many guys who can succed that way.

2 more runs, loving the evolution of these kids. Duval now w/ a SB, 4 SB's all ready, woohoo!! Of course we all agree about the lack of seeing pitches by Peraza, hopefully that'll come in time but he can play.

Im loving it
Love seeing the young kids pitch with an attitude.
Hopefully later this year we see Winker who is really doing well in AAA and also Herrara. Maybe in Sept we get Senzel.
Get young, see what we got.

I'm down with this team this year. I know they won't keep this pace up all year, but like the second half last year, this team is showing heart and soul like they never did when they were a playoff caliber team. Young arms look good too. Well have something to work with over the next few years.

I was worried about being buried under a slow start. A fast start can propel a young team. But if we can start fast I think the starting pitching will improve over time this season. That happens and the sky is the limit.
