Why is Mark Sheldon such a complete pussy?
All he had to write today was "Reds Take Rare Series at Busch".
When I saw we crushed the Cardinals today I was ecstatic. We are in the first week of the season and this asshole almost sounds like he has nothing to write about and is disappointed he's covering the team. Total bitch.
Anyway 8-0 to polish it off! After we all were miserable over yesterday's game the Reds lifted our spirits bigtime. I was weather forced to work today and was pissed about it but Linds told me the game was blocked out anyway. What is a Sunday day game being blacked out for on April 9th?! Jesus! I was petrified of Martinez today after Price and the team's debacle yesterday. They were fantastic today with Duvall still bashing and Votto adding a HR. Overall the offense was a hard fought mediocrity but they came through when it counted. I still believe the best is yet to come. Right now it is coming in spurts but the talent is there. Early April can be funny.
What an adventure Saturday was. 10 hits and 12 walks. Count em. 12 walks. Most hookers don't take that many dicks in one day! But around that we saw 2 team shutouts.(BTW Philly went off for 23 runs in their 2 games after facing us)Feldman bounce back admirably. Call me crazy but I believe with the NL switch he can be real solid and better than the much lamented departed Straily. But Garrett was the big story. 77 pitches through 6 innings. Finnegan 88 through 7. When Price cuts these guys loose is anybody afraid of the extra inning? C'mon. Garrett to me still looked a little jumpy so that means he can be even better than 7 innings. Wow. Honestly last year I looked at him and said aahhh his stats are pedestrian. But he is a bigtime competitor. Count me in as a big fan. He grew on me in March so I was ready for it. Thanks for the comments that convinced me too guys. I was not there in the beginning. Good eye. Can't wait to see his next start.
What is the more Twilight Zone? Saturday's complete wire to wire meltdown? Or the fact that games 1 and 3 we shut these MF'ers down?
First week of the season we finish 4-2 and we played some topsy turvy and inconsistent baseball. This is not our ceiling. Color me excited! Go Redlegs!
Lastly we were perfect on defense this series. That makes 2 good D series. We have 1 error and a .995 FPCT which technically is tied for 2nd but we are 3rd.
