SlowCal (lol) asked if I wanted back in. I will try it again this year of a spot still needs to be filled. Also have you all set a date for the draft?

Well what did everybody think of their draft? Is everybody into it this season? Seemed a little disassociated during the draft last night. What's going on out there in Fantasy Land?!

I took a lot of chances this draft and stepped out on my former logic. I been mediocre since winning it all a few years ago. I tried to spread the offense around a little more and be more starter than bullpen centric. Adding speed is difficult because not a lot to go round. But really players fly off the shelves so fast you are taking best player available most of the time. Sometimes you end up with a good hitting team sometime you end up with bangers. Sometimes you get speed sometimes you don't. I couldn't justify picking up closers so early as some so I went more starter and focused on holds. Brad impressed me by taking an even bolder step of logic and taking all starters! Can't wait to see how that plays out. We are all health concerned but if my pitching holds up I could have 5 starters with over 200 strikeouts. I am certain I have 3 right now. Never had a rotation I liked. But I was only able to cobble that together by adding high K pitchers from sub par teams. Usually the strategy is get good pitchers from winning teams. I took my chances this season. We will see how it plays out. But like to gamble and be aggressive sometimes. We got a great league. Let's play ball!
What say you?

I think I'm strong all over. Good SP, RP and a solid everyday lineup. I'm looking for big things. Lol

Liking my team more and more and the diversified approach. I looked at some other teams first then mine. Felt infinitely more optimistic!

It was far too quiet the other night. I thought everybody was upset they missed the keeper deadline but Linds said he would extend if anybody came to him. Brad I thought you were just strategizing! HAHA!!!

I like my team quite a bit. In fact, I'd say out of all our drafts, I fill more comfortable with my draft results than I have in a long time. For me, I feel like I have a lot riding on Schwarber. He was a guy that I was really hoping to get, and at the same time hope stays healthy from a fantasy standpoint; not as a Reds fan though. I'm also expecting a lot from the seemingly ageless Ryan Braun who appears to be 100% healthy for once. My pitching is a bit iffy. It could go either way. It could be outstanding, or it could be rather subpar. Usually it seems there are about 4 or 5 guys that get grabbed right before it's your turn to draft in that given round, and this time it only happened to me twice, so that's "hopefully" a good thing. It should be fun. This group in here knows their baseball, which makes this an outstanding fantasy league, and very tough. Good luck everyone!

Here's a look at how our fantasy team's would be doing in a traditional rotisserie style league. For the most part, everyone's ranking in the standings is about where it would be expected. Based on record, The rebels should have a better than his records indicate. Only the flip slide, Davis & SoCal appear to have been overperforming on paper. Also, here's a look at the head to head records against each other. Find your name on the left...read across to see how many times you've defeated the other teams. Find your name at the top, and scan down for how many times you've lost to each team...for example, I have a 9-15 record against Johnny RedLegs; 15-7 vs. Rod. Enjoy!

No doubt my team is over-achieving. My pitching is unbelievably bad, and if I find a really good pitcher and pick him up, then he becomes bad.

No doubt my team is over-achieving. My pitching is unbelievably bad, and if I find a really good pitcher and pick him up, then he becomes bad. I've been fortunate and found some mid season gems in Alex Wood, Zach Godley, Corey Knebel, Fellipe Rivero, Corey Dickerson & Chris Taylor Then had a few late draft picks like Moustakas & Gio Gonzalez. Been a nice run on the waiver wire for sure.
