It says a lot doesn't it gang. Instead of waiving the worst kicker in the league in one Mike Nugent, Brown and Lewis continue to employ him. This is the thinking that poisons a team from top to bottom but Bengals brass is totally clueless. (Nugent missed a PAT in this game but I do not put the blame on him. The ball was laid flat to the ground and Nugent had no chance. The short FG that was missed by Nugent was all his fault. Nugent should take the high road and resign after this game.)
I've brought up the idea of the Bengals bringing in Zach Hocker who kicked for the Bengals during the preseason to replace Nugent, but I recently changed my mind. I found an article on Cincy Jungle concerning this subject with a kicker that they think should replace Nugent right now and I couldn't agree with them more. The kickers name is Ross Martin. Martin grew up around the Cleveland area and played his college ball at Duke. The article is below.
