Know absolutely we have the talent. But need to see a big W and convincing effort at home this week so I can man gush.

Our OL is not playing well. Neither is our DL which is where our biggest problems are. After this game we get Burfict back that will be a huge boost. IMO we should have signed Reggie Nelson but that's water under the bridge. I listen to sports announcers talking about M Jones and Sanu being gone is hurting us I don't see it. Boyd is an upgrade over Jones. Erickison has been a beast when he is out there. The lines are the problem. And I will agree with Rod the coaching as well. Play calling has been terrible. Zamp better find a way to get the running game going. We could use Billings right now too. Happens every year our top draftees get hurt before season even starts. Bodine needs to go he can't block anyone less than sub par players. Our run blocking is no better. Maybe they should move whitworth to Guard. If this line can't play they way they are set up some shifting needs to be done. They seem to run better when whitworth is at Guard.

Maybe he'll catch on in a year or two but for now, he's a liability. The Bengals have until November 1st to make a trade if they decide to improve the C position or another position such as DT, DE or WR. I could see a team trading two 'under the radar' type players to the Bengals in exchange for McCarron. Another words, the Bengals could possibly improve two positions by trading McCarron. QBs don't come cheap.

The O line is THE problem. You establish a run the whole look and outcome from the offense is 100% different. The D played more than well enough to win the game. Our D line dominated their so called good line. If you look on Lance McAllister site there's 11 holds that were so obvious and blatant. It's disgusting. Oh well. It's in the past now. Despite all that happened and how shitty we looked. The Bengals had the ball with the opportunity to tie the game. I listened to every so called expert saying the Steelers O has to much firepower. How can they be stopped. I thought we stopped them damn well. Now if the O line can match the D. This team is gonna be a tough out. I like the look ok if the young receivers. Marvin is Marvin. He needs to grow a pair and not be a pussy. He should've been in referees faces all game. He took it like a chump. It was bullshit. Still after everything they had the ball at the end to tie it up.

They should TRY to trade McCarron for an OL and DL. THis is his last year. They aren't going to resign him lets be real. Why wud he sign with us as backup when he can get a starting job elsewhere. Although I wud trade him to NFC if possible. They should have traded him for a draft pick.

Yeah thinking about this Oline vs Denver's D it could be a replay of the Jets game again.

Good news is we got 13 games left to play. It's early.
Bad news is we keep playing like this confused, effort here, effort there team we could be looking like a 6-8 win team.
Time to get it in gear..

There's some obvious problems on this team, but I'm not gonna get into that right now. That's for another day. For the time being, I think it's best if we fans see how this team plays once Burfict and Eifert return. These guys may be the best in the league at their positions.

Yeah I'm still optimistic but right now we are playing like a losing team. Like we've never been here before. Before the season I said with injuries and schedule I'd be good if we went 2-2 in September. Let's do that...

Thus far we have seen us be able to pass the ball. And yesterday was the day we saw the run game come together. We just have to put the big picture together. I have never really thought we had a "great" Offensive Line since the rebuild but they have been at least proficient. This year I think Zampese's growing pains and thus a lack of identity is wreaking havoc on our consistency. But, but, but..No game has been out of reach. The schedule has been brutal. We are not at full strength .And need this win Thursday. It could come together quickly because the talent is there. Just a few things;
-the lack of use of Gio Bernard-watching the moves Sproles put on the Steelers yesterday for a TD reminded me so much of how we could use Gio. He is too damn talented only to be squandered as a backup RB. Design some of the playbook to utilize his talents to the fullest. It will make life a lot easier for everybody.
-Dalton-I know it takes some time to develop a relationship with receivers but when AJ is taken away you absolutely have to put them on the map and not vice versa. These are the guys you have so you HAVE to throw to them. I got sick of hearing on every fuckin show yesterday about how much we are missing Jones and Co. Bullshit. Draw up big plays for these guys and throw the ball to them. It really is that simple, especially because you have no choice. See what happens. Fire baptism.
-Big Plays?-while the Broncos were busy making Big Boy plays trying to win the game we were trying to win small battles not the big war. That is embarrassing for the home opener which brings me to...
-Coaches-why were they not able to go for big plays? Why is their thinking too small? Why can't they make adjustments? Why is their thought process so glacial? I have really been proud of us being able to assemble a talented team and rack up winning seasons. But on the fly we get outcoached, the other guy is one step ahead of us. And we see this repeatedly against the best teams in the league. Last year it really started to wear me down. We have good not great coaches. They need to step their game up bigtime. Marvin said about as much in the press conference. But saying ain't doing. To be continued.
-Defense-last in sacks and all of the sudden prone to repeated big plays? We are only missing 1 guy and he is a linebacker so this is disturbing.
Anyway that's my thoughts the day after. What say you?

I say we will see a different defense Thursday. Unleash the Beast! Tez. He brings swagger the D has been missing.
