Going 6 for 13 with RISP the first 2 games and having double digits in hits in game 2 propelled us to a series victory. Not to mention Straily's 8 inning gem. Sampson while a short outing was pretty solid for a stretchout pitcher also. Last night they kind of punted and played flat. But another series victory. Excluding the Mets debacle we have won 3 series and in those 10 games have gotten but 3 quality starts. Hitting overall has been carrying us and if you look at the post allstar stats nearly everybody is hitting. At least Votto, Peraza, Suarez, Schebler, and Phillips(have post ASB splits at bottom of page in ESPN link). Good to see for next year. We start like we have post allstar offensively, spend some on the bullpen, and naturally get progress from the rotation and guess what? We are an instant contender with the best yet to come in the 2018 season.
