First off Straily had 78 pitches through 6 innings. Why is he oulled?
Second, in a tight game why are Ohlendorf and Wood the first 2 pitchers coming in when they are the weaker links in the bullpen?
Third, after a 7 series run of a 2.16 ERA now the bullpen has allowed 3 first batter HR's in the last 3 games and 2 tonight. Now Wood has allowed his 2nd HR. Why is this?
Price is an idiot.
One more thing. When we were on that torrid run of averaging 7 runs a game earlier in the year, we faced the Cards, lost the series and went in the tank. I cannot believe how psychologically weak this team is against the Tards.

Why in the FUCK is De Jesus playing tonight? Cozart must be deflated after the trade rumors for him didn't pan out, even after a fucking off day.
De Jesus shouldn't be permitted on the field except as a bat boy at this point. If Cozart isn't in there, one of the kids should be. Not someone who has absolutely NO future with this team.

Holy shit!!!!!!!!!! Scheb with a 3 for 4 and walkoff monster bomb! That was almost out of the stadium. It last past the visitors bullpen on the catwalk and another 10 feet and it's on to Mehring Way!

With this opponent and after an emotional day for the team we needed this. I was devatstaed after the 8th but I told my uncle around 6 oclock today that even though Bruce was traded I bet they still keep winning. And told him about some of the prospects and Schebler specifically. Nice win!

Clay they said in the game Cozart hurt his thumb in batting practice. I don't have a problem with Cozart getting an extra day off... but playing De Jesus is going nowhere. Hell, having De Jesus on the roster is going nowhere at this point. |

Last weekend when I was there against AZ he pitched Lorenzen for a couple innings with a frickin 5 run lead. The next day when the game was tied it was Olendork. Needless to say, it wasn't tied for very long! This is why I refuse to listen to the numbnuts who act like a mgr doesn't impact the game. |
