Not sure what is happening but won another series and at a tough place and the deciding game against a tough pitcher on the road. Either way it always feels good to see the hometown team win. Straily was nothing short of amazing Wednesday and he only had 90 pitches after 7.2 innings. Could have gone a CG but he said he was gassed and pulled himself out. That's 5 straight solid starts for Straily. With his contract and control and versatility I'd keep him and let him go as far as possible. He starts failing as a starter he can go back to the pen. Desclafani finally broke his string of 6 solid starts.
Offense was solid overall. Doing just enough to win the closing game. OBP was terrible but we made up for it in slugging and clutch hitting.
Bullpen has outshone the rotation in 5 of the last 6 series. While the starters have been injured and mediocre or worse this season, this is quite a role reversal.
