I don't know how we pulled this off. Offensive line was dismal. But we did have 2 quality starts. In the last 4 series(13 games) we have had 8 quality starts. All of them by Desclafani and Straily. Straily had hit a wall there but has put up 3 straight QS. The bullpen has been pretty solid the last 3 series. Bullpen last 3 series. Offense in last 6 series .229/.300/.338/.638

Amazing what adding good arms like Iglesias & Lorenzen and losing JC Ramirez & The Hoove can do for a bullpen.

"Damn I miss The Hoove"-Bryan Price. Never spoken by any reds fan EVER. The pen is doing what we all knew would happen after the troops got back from injuries. Don't know if it's inevitable putting and KEEPING Iggy as the closer. His recurring shoulder problems are terrifying, but should the reds roll the dice and put their most talented pitcher back in the rotation? If not, it's Chappy 2.0 and that's not a horrible thing, but if he could become a shutdown TOR starter, that's obviously worth shitloads more. Straily can pitch, love his and Disco's bulldog mentalities out there. At the worst, Straily would be a valuable long guy capable of eating innings/spot starting in the future once Stephenson/Garret get here. Good find by the FO.
