Mixed emotions about this offense. For a team that scored 22 runs the batting line is uninspiring and that makes 2 series in a row. The 9 and 8 run games were drven largely by the 8 and 7 Atlanta walks. The series RISP of .250 is under par for the season and we only had 3 HR's. But we did walk and steal 8 bags. Clawed our way into scoring and that counts too. To be continued. Don't be fooled by the bullpen line in here. They blew a save before getting a lead in game 1 then blew 2 leads in game 3 to lose us this series. They might have been overworked due to an inept starting staff that failed get through 5 innings in 3 of 4 but when you have to get 2-3-4 leads to win games it's too much to ask of an offense. This is an established pattern no matter how over worked. Can't wait to see Reed up and I think Lamb and Disco will get better as innings accumulate. can't happen fast enough. We get Stephenson up and then Iglesias, Lorenzen, and Straily back to the bullpen interested to see how that works. To be continued again!

I don't think anyone that's seen this pen are ever going to be fooled. Hope BP 2.0 is miles better. And they should be. The bums that they've thrown out there thus far has been embarrassing.

The 9-8 loss bothered me the most this series. I think that was the game that Votto gave us a 8-6 in extras. I'm also excited about seeing Reed pitch, but wish it was against the braves, they, like the Reds, can't hit a pitcher they've never seen before. If Price didn't screw it up, could have been a confidence builder for the youngster......who am I kidding, Price would have fucked it up.

All rookie/inexperienced pitchers must be punished. After yesterdays game w/ poor ole' whatshisname, he was the only guy out of 8 in that F'n pen available "unless the reds got the lead" according to our glorious tactician Price. Especially pointed out how having him pitch that much made him a real MLB player, attaboy. Fire this fuck, post haste.

Yep. I don't care if you are rebuilding or not having an inept manager that the players don't believe in is not setting the tone for the next wave of competitiveness. It's creating bad habits, low morale, and plain unaccountability. This team mentally has been soft even through the winning years. Bob and Co have had 10 years this season. Show me something motherfuckers...
