Moves have already been made. Are we waiting for an 0-14 to happen to Bruce like it did to Cozart as well?
Does this team have any plan in place or are they content because we've strung some wins together?
To me this rebuild has barely started. Let's get the show on the road...

Bruuce and Zart' both have to go ASAP. Somebody wake uncle Walt up. Their halfassedness into this "rebuild" is getting ancient.

The Reds only trade players that are on their final year of their contract and therefore, get little to nothing in return. Might as well get used to being perennial losers.

I was going to say they have no foresight but that is short of what is really going on. They have no vision. They absolutely do not know what this team is supposed to be from rookie league to Louisville and then here. There is no development process that it universal like you see in other organizations. The only thing that they do is market. They divert attention away from the team with memories and bullshit and it costs you a fortune in that fuckin place! Flaredleg I see through this Yuppie BS parade and I think you do too. I soak up Reds win like God's Sunshine. What these guys are doing makes zero sense and they have been exposed a while and the press is being waaaayy to kind to these assholes! You mentioning how they deal with departing players is apropos. For team that is supposedly representing professional they get the lowest value on investment I have ever seen. I think they are completely helpless and dumb and have no idea how to get out of this hole.

I think they are completely helpless and dumb and have no idea how to get out of this hole I screwed up quoting you so I'm putting it in red. Brad would know more than me about this, but it seems the developmental part took a huge hit several years ago when they virtually cleaned house on the coaching staff in Louisville. I take a trip to Atlanta when they play the braves every few years and what I see is a fan base that believes their FO has a vision. Like last year when they cleaned house and started over, their fans were elated and understood that there would be lean times for a few years. Our team, like you said, has NO plan at all except for fleecing as much money out of our pockets as they can. You watch, in a few years the braves will be like the Astros and competing again while our FO will still have their collective thumbs up each other's asses and buying off the sheep with dog shit on a stick night.

Call me crazy but I am for them at least talking to Bruce about a possible say 3 year extension. Bruce has been really good this year without going on one of his 2 week immortal tares. He has just been very consistent sans one early season 2 week or so funk. He talks like he would like to stay here. Maybe just maybe he would accept a 3 year deal. He would only be 33 at the end of the deal. I don't know I just think he may explode for 40 bombs ala Jose Bautista late bloomer. I would also like to have one vet on this team if they ever get good again to root for. Votto is hard to root for. Guy is just out in space. He don't seem like a leader either. I am not saying he is or isn't . We really don't know what goes on in the clubhouse. May be a huge mistake extending Bruce but may also be a huge mistake to not. He is about the only hold over who hustles and seems like he cares. I despise BP. I still believe he is only about his self and don't give a shit about winning. If he did he would have accepted a trade to a winner. If he likes Cincinnati so much cool he can live there during the off season. Those guys are only in Cincinnati 3 months out of 6 during the season anyway. I still think Phillips is reason we lost all those great Josh Hamilton seasons as well.

I heard there was a scout at the game last night from the Giants watching Bruce.

I heard there was a scout at the game last night from the Giants watching Bruce. ugh! The Giants farm system is pretty weak. When we snagged Keury Mella last year, he was their #1 prospect and not even in MLB's Top 100 at the time. He's currently ranked #6 in our system, but his season has been so-so, and that will likely drop when mid-season updates come out. If he goes to the SFG, the return won't be that great.

Giants have nothing of interest. White Sox has Tim Anderson but they just called him up. He's not going anywhere. I hope they can find another team. I'd hold onto him a little longer until something opens up.
