I'm shocked that ESPN commentator Bart Scott wasn't immediately fired after making violent statements ("red dot" being one of these statements/phrases) directed towards Bengals QB Joe Burrow. I called ESPN about these statements as well as stating that I personally believe that Bart Scott should be fired ASAP. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age where lunatics shoot up schools, McDonald's, movie theaters, etc., and the last thing anyone should do (especially on a channel that reaches millions of people) is make statements that encourage violence. Such statements could lead to some lunatic taking a shot at Burrow or trying to commit some other violent act against him. Example: The person that shot Gabby Giffords was mentally off and it was found out later that he had been encouraged to shoot her by comments he heard through the media and/or social media. Below is the video of Bart Scott and the comments he made against Burrow. If you think Bart Scott should be fired or punished in some fashion by ESPN as I do, you can let them know by calling them at 888-549-3776. Note: This post has nothing to do with politics nor anyones stance on gun rights. The sole purpose of this post is to ensure that responsible broadcasting at all media outlets is the standard and that rhetoric that encourages violence against a football player or any other professional athlete or person will not be tolerated. As I alluded to earlier, it only takes one lunatic to create a violent event/situation.
