Zach Taylor's play calling in crucial situations this year has been questionable at best and today was no exception. Burrow's interception rests solely on the shoulders of Taylor. What a terrible call. I hope Burrow starts changing more plays at the line of scrimmage when these stupid plays are called by Taylor. This has been an ongoing theme all year and Zach needs to get this fixed NOW!
Also, losing to the Jets is embarrassing. The Bengals should've ran away with at least a two score win if not a four or five score win. That's what championship caliber teams do, but the Bengals were not properly prepared leading up to this game and that was more than evident.
The Jets are horrible and have nothing to lose so they're going to throw all kinds of looks at the Bengals defense. End arounds, lots of motion, lots of play action, etc., is going to be thrown towards the Bengals defense all day long and they were not prepared for this nearly as much as they should've been.
Other than Burrow and a few other players, this team was not up to prove themselves as they were last week vs. Baltimore. That's a major hurdle to overcome if they plan on winning the Super Bowl.
The Bengals have to go into each game prepared for anything and with the same determination to win as they demonstrated in Baltimore. If they don't, they'll get upset against other horrible teams as they were today. It's time for Burrow, Chase, Mixon, Higgins, TB, Wilson, Bates, Hall and others to make sure that ALL PLAYERS are mentally up in order to dominate their opponents and call those out that aren't prepared.
The Bengals should've won this game by a score of 41-10. But when you go into a game not properly prepared by the coaching staff, questionable play calling yet again by Zach Taylor, a defense that doesn't make the proper adjustments in order to CRUSH the Jets offense, the coaches are putting the players behind the eight-ball. I just hope this coaching staff improves quickly because if they don't, the players will have to win games in spite of the coaching staff. This loss could come back to haunt the Bengals come playoff time. Championship teams win every single game by a large margin when facing such a weak opponent. The Bengals failed big time today and the coaching staff deserves most of the blame.
