For almost two years I sang the praises of Joe Burrow and how fortunate the Bengals would be if they were to draft him. As I stated then, Burrow has "it." That magical component that separates elite QB's from an even higher realm of QB's that I'll call, for now, The Legendary-Joe Montana-Tom Brady Level. A level so high, that if Burrow were to enter "The Matrix", he would immediately become known as Neo. I said it then and I'll say it again, Burrow has what it takes to win multiple Super Bowls in Cincy. He's performing just as I predicted and he's only going to get better as will the team. Brighter days lie ahead for the NFL's best QB and the leagues most talented young roster. All Hail Burrow!

How are you all doing? Thought I would stop by and see you all. Never come back since my brother from another Rodneck passed away. Sadly, since then his fiance Darlene passed away the following Christmas and then less than a year later I lost my wife Gloria. they are all in heaven now looking down on us smiling I am sure. I miss all of them and miss chatting with you all! I like your QB, he looks like he is going to be great, hope that they build a strong OL in front of him with a good running game! Yours, John jckhjk@msn.com

He looked great today 77! Yes he did, but your well being is more important. I hope your children and grandkids are handling everything as good as can be expected. Hang in there and don't hesitate to ask me for any help whatsoever. I'll do what I can.

The bad news continues. I lost my son to a massive heart attack. He was just 49. I tried to post this yesterday. That makes two of my loved ones(wife and son) and best friends in less than 4 months.

I know it pails in comparison to the real world tragedies that you've had to deal with lately, but I hope the Bengals and this board offer you a bit of comfort or at least a monetary distraction. The team looks good and Burrow is playing as I thought he would. I'm not a bit shocked nor surprised by what he's accomplishing on the field. Actually, this is exactly what I thought would come about. I'm really getting tired of all these talking heads claiming that this QB or that QB are better QB's than Burrow or like statements. These individuals are fools. Joe Burrow is the best QB in the league and I wouldn't trade him for a package deal that included Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes and Herbert. Speaking of Herbert, many point to Herberts stronger arm as a reason they like him better than Burrow. Once again, they don't know what they're talking about. Burrow has the PERFECT arm strength for the NFL. His passes have more than enough 'zip' on them to be successful, but his passes are also easier to catch and more accurate than Herberts. And the big difference between Burrow and Herbert??? Burrow has the extremely rare "It" gene which Herbert doesn't possess. Joe Burrow is the leagues MVP and it's not even close.

It has been a difficult Holiday season for me but the Bengals play has been good for me.
All Burrow needs is above average OL. Then he would have more people giving the recognition and praise he deserves.

He looked great today 77! John, I hope life is treating you as good as can be expected. Hang in there and please continue to check in at least once a month and let us know how everything is going. We plan on taking my dad back to his childhood home in Pittsburgh within the next few months. He'll be 87 on January 13th and it's hard for him to walk. We're really looking forward to the trip. My family was a rather well known bunch that had connections to the Mellon family. We hope to tour their mansion and take in other sights in and around the North Braddock section of town. Dads house is long gone as is my Aunt Bee's. She was a well known and highly respected nurse in Pittsburgh and personal nurse of the Mellon family. She would be picked up in one of their many large and expensive autos and driven to the ferry dock where she would board and be whisked over to their island. Her home was located on Jane Lou Avenue/Street/Lane/Drive(?). My dad remembers riding the trolleys that carry folks up and down the hills. From what I've read, these are mostly tourist attractions now, but in his day they were used for practical reasons. Pittsburgh is a great town with many unique attractions. I have a few historic restaurants lined up for us to eat at along with a B&B that was once a great mansion. I'm really looking forward to it. Considering Roethlisberger's declining play due to age and an overall aging and expensive roster, Pittsburgh is still finds itself in the playoff hunt and that's a big positive all things considered. By the way, I'll be watching tonights game and hoping for a Steelers win vs. the Brownies. The Brown's have once again self imploded as they do every year and they have no one to blame but themselves. Personally, I think it's hysterical! If any more NFL talking heads ever pick the Browns to win the division prior to the season, they should be fired immediately. The Browns have to realize that a 'paper roster' has little to do with the teams play on the field. Until they actually make the playoffs and win a playoff game, no one should form an opinion on how their season is going to go. IMO, the Browns are a bipolar team. Big expectations - putrid play. Great QB - turnover machine. The Browns have a lot of problems to deal with and the Steelers have a chance to exploit these issues tonight and they should take full advantage of this situation. If they do, they should win tonight. Claypool needs to stay focused and stay away from the theatrics and learn to be more consistent concerning everything about his play. The athletic ability is there, but the brain hasn't caught up yet. Once it does, Pittsburgh will have a complete player that they can count on in the clutch. He's close, but he needs to take a few more steps in his development. Do you think the Steelers are going to draft the Pitt QB? Seems like a logical choice is he checks all the boxes. Lastly, you better take note Johnny because you may never hear me post this again - GO STEELERS!!! Beat the Browns!!! (This is for you too Steelerwoman).
