77 you predicted it would happen if the Bengals didn't improve their OL. It happened at 1:55 of the telecast and I replayed the hit. It looked like a Washington player was blocked into Burrow. It came from the left side or center of the OL Burrows left leg was straight and it looked like he had just released the ball. They would not replay the hit because it was so bad. I agree. In fact it also looked like he could have broken his ankle and a left knee injury. Let us hope it is not a Greg Cook injury.

Torn acl. He will be back. But they should have benched him for the year with the OL we have. Season was lost.

He also has a torn MCL and other structural damage. It is certain to make a long recovery. He is still a great athlete and will work hard to get better. I don't think it is career ending but it was bad from my replaying the injury. It will probably depend on the structural damage to his knee. We will get more information in the next couple of days. It look like some Bengal lineman was blocking a player on his back into the stiff and straight left leg of Burrow just after he released to ball.

I know Joe and I'm sure he'll return sooner than expected unless the 'other structural damage' is worse than the tears. Could it be career ending? The 'other structural damage' has me far more concerned than the tears. We simply won't know how serious his injury is until more tests are performed.
This injury should've never happened and I'm pissed as hell that it did. Ownership, the coaching staff and Duke Tobin are all to blame and all of them should apologize to Joe face to face for their incompetence which led to his knee injury. They knew they had a terrible o-line and they did virtually nothing to improve it during the off-season even though the entire NFL World knew it was priority number one. They should all be ashamed of what they've done to a once in a lifetime generational QB. If I were them, I'd be so embarrassed for not taking common sense steps to protect my rookie QB, I would resign or at minimum, hide from the media. They all took a gigantic risk and it bit them in the ass, but it's a rookie QB that's paying for their sins.
Trading AJ Green, Geno Atkins, John Ross or any other player on the roster to ensure Burrow's safety sure looks like a huge bargain now doesn't it! Unfortunately, no one in charge of roster moves seems to know or acknowledge the danger they were putting Joe in which speaks volumes of their ineptitude. Talk about the blind leading the blind. This coaching staff needs fired right after the season. Zac Taylor has no balls and coaches such as this have NEVER won a Super Bowl. Unless something drastically changes, I hope Joe leaves after his rookie contract is up (or sooner) and joins A REAL NFL TEAM so he gets a legitimate shot at winning a Super Bowl and I'll have a new team to support. Nothing good will come of Bengaldom until Mike Brown (and possibly his entire family) are out of the picture. This is the worst football owning family in the history of the league.

I'm so upset at what has transpired, I can barely eat or sleep. I've been sick to my stomach since the injury took place. This injury was totally preventable, but what can one expect with idiots in charge. This is a shameful organization in every single way. Here's what happened: The d-lineman that was being blocked by OG Michael Jordan is the player that inadvertently caused the injury. It was not intentional. The d-lineman rushed upfield and was met head on by Jordan. The d-lineman then tries to penetrate by moving to Jordan's right side and he appears to be using a swim move to get by Jordan and to Burrow. Jordan continues to block and he eventually turns the d-lineman around (d-lineman's back is now facing Burrow) and blocks him to the ground and into Burrow's knee. This team is cursed.

Don't want to see you take off for 2021. The Bengals will have to make big decisions in the Draft and Free Agency. Without Burrow they will probably Draft in the top 7. Do they go after a OLs in FA and then Draft a DL, LB, CB etc, or do they go for an OL. Somewhere in the Draft or FA they will have to take a QB. Trades are also in the equations.
It looks like Burrow, in the best senario, will not be back for 10 months. If he is operated on tomorrow it will take at best 9 months. Saquon Barkly took 40 days before the swelling came down before he was operated on. Add another month onto Burrow's recovery of an estimated 9 months. He wouldn't be ready till the end of September at best. I think it will be 11 months. If that is the case should they keep him on IR for the 21st season?
Because of this We don't want to miss you 77 for all your analysis in 2021. Your too valuable for this Board
