The Bengal’s season is about to begin. What can we expect? Injuries are always in question but let us not take this into consideration.
Offense
The Offensive line will be one of the biggest questions. Can they give Burrow the time he needs and to create passing lanes for the receivers? How will their run blocking slow down DL and LB pressure? I think that in the first three games it will be a developing story but there will be a great improvement after that.
I have great hopes for Burrow. He has the receivers but must adjust the to speed of the game both from the pass defenders and DL lines. Bosa and Garrett will challenge him and the OL in the first two games.
Defense
I like the the addition of new players especially D.J. Reader. I think with Reader and Atkins on the field and the same time it will free up LBers Bynes and Pratt and should help Hubbard and Dunlap.
The three rookie LBers Wilson, Baily and ADJ are still a question but I have good hopes for them.
DBs are a question. The limited time they have had to practice and new defense for some of them is the question.
The Defense should keep opposing offenses on the bench more often giving Burrow and team more times to score.
Special Teams
With Simmons still coaching them they should be better than average.
I look for this team to be at least 8 and 8. I want 10 – 6. Beat Pittsburgh twice is my hope.
Let's get this Board talking.

Hey choco. It's hard to say with no preseason. As far as OL we still have Bobby Hart which isn't promising. Right side will be a target for defenses. Run up the left. 😆 as far as lack of practice n such covid all teams equal there. We do have a rookie QB but can you think of any other rookie you'd rather have than Joe Burrow in this situation? I can't. I'd say all things considered we will be better than ok.

I agree that we will be better than Ok. Some have us at 2 and 14. I disagree. Worst would be 5 and 11.

I think it's all going to depend on how good our defense is. Burrow has weapons. Everything is in his favor to score. We improved our defense in free agency big time. We signed top players but it's all about can they gel together as a team? This is going to be a hard season to predict for all teams.

I am looking for the D to really improve because of the DL. My worry at this time is the OL. I don't have anything to compare the OL and DL with because of not having Pre Season games so my predictions are just conjecture.

Just when I was praising the DL, Atkins is out for the game against the Chargers and probably the Browns. Atkins has 96 consecutive starts but it is not looking good right now. This will likely give Burrow 10 to 15 less play to shine.

Bengals win. 31-27 why not. 1st game as good a prediction as any.

If I had known Bobby Hart was going against Bosa I wouldn't have made that prediction.

OL did not look good in the first half. They improved in the second half. If LA had kick field goals instead going for first downs the score would have been worse. Cleveland has a better run game than LA and with the injuries on the DL it maybe a long night.
