While watching todays game, I couldn't help but notice how many empty seats were littered throughout Paul Brown Stadium. And to make things worse, it looked like the seats that were occupied were mostly made up of Niner fans! I would love to know the number of Bengal fans that were at todays game vs. the number of Niner fans that were there. Maybe a good investigative journalist working in the Cincinnati area can dig these numbers up.
The real reason I started this thread is quite simple and comes in the form of a question: Has Mike Brown ostracized Bengal fans and the players to the extent that getting the fans back into the seats and confidence amongst the players is going to be a difficult task? Maybe an impossible task? IMO, the main reason Bengal fans are reluctant to support the team anymore is because Mike Brown kept Marvin Lewis ten years longer than he should have. Seriously! Lewis should've been canned roughly a decade before he was finally fired.
At worse, Brown has demoralized the fanbase and the players to such a degree that the team will never fully recover and will be forced to move to another city in order to survive. At minimum, it's gonna take a few years to instill confidence back into the players and fans in order to get those seats filled and thus save the team. The damage that Mike Brown has done to this organization is immeasurable.
