Well, the Reds pulled off a 3 way trade involving the Padres and Indians.

We basically got Bauer for Puig and Trammell (a AA outfielder a couple of seasons away). We do take on his multi-million dollar contract for next season.

Nice trend we've seen this season, the Reds actually getting a decent deal out of a trade, where, in years past, we were getting fleeced.

Scooter goes to the giants for cash and/or a player to be named later. Salary dump. Scooter produced a hell of a lot more than I ever expected him to, so he was a bonus. He's had that groin injury this season that has really cut down on his production. Hope good things happen for Scooter in san fran, just not against the Reds.

I hate it for Scooter, but it was the right move. I'm a bit concerned about the maturity level of Bauer, but I said the same about Puig this past winter and he was an amazing presence in the clubhouse.
Damn, I'm going to miss Puig. Sticking up for his team and brawling with the Pirates even after being traded just shows how much he loved this team. He will always be a Red to me.
