I just read it this morning and was shocked. I met him once crazy story. Me and some friends went to a Fleetwood Mac concert. Back in mid 80s. As soon as we walked thru the doors I saw this tall guy walked right in front of us. Immediately I said hey thats Turk Schonert.
So we get to our seats. There he is again 2 rows in front of us. I told my friends there he is again. He had his GF with him. They said are you sure thats him? I said yes I'm sure. I'm going to ask for his autograph. No one else in the place new who he was. So I walked over and said aren't you Turk Schonert? He said yes and so I asked for autograph he said sure. So I went back to my seat. Then everyone started going over there. LOL I bet he thought to himself thanks a lot lady! LOL. He played some really good games when he had to. Very sad.

Turk was talented enough to be a starting QB. There was a lot of speculation that he would replace Kenny Anderson at some point, but a very talented blond haired strong armed QB from Maryland fell into the Bengals laps during the 1984 draft and the rest is history.

Yes two or 3 games in a row the team score 40 points or better with him at QB. Then they announced we are going to give the starting job to the young kid. I was ticked off about it at the time but like you say the rest is history. RIP Turk. For those of us that remember thanks for the memories.

Carrie Underwood is my favourite country singer. She is young, beautiful and charming woman in her 30s. Her voice takes me away from all problems of this world so I can enjoy my life and listen songs created by her mind. Now the singer is on a Cry Pretty 360 Tour started in May of 2019.
