I predicted a Steelers win today for a few good reasons. Here they are.
1) Dalton vs. Roethlesberger: Ben historically plays well in big divisional games while Dalton has a history of choking in these type of games. This is what has taken place during the first half. Dalton has done a poor job of stepping up in the pocket to avoid oncoming rushers, but he's started to look a bit better as the second half wound down. To Dalton's defense, AJ Green has dropped two passes and Cody Core has dropped one. Mixon can carry this team to victory by running and catching the ball, but Lazor has got to do a better job at disguising run plays or the Steelers will just stack the box and stop it all day. The one time Walton ran the ball is a perfect example.
2) Lewis vs. Tomlin: Tomlin is a notorious ass hat, but more importantly Lewis coaches his teams to 'not lose' instead of coaching them to win. Also, Lewis doesn't have the brains required to properly prepare his team scheme wise nor maybe more importantly, mentally. Every time the camera panned to Lewis, it was obvious that he was confused and had no idea of what he should do next to stop the Steelers second TD drive.
The Bengals have the talent to easily beat the Steelers today, but will the coaching staff 'outsmart' their counterparts? That's what will determine todays winner. Go Cats!!!

Sometimes I hate it when I'm right... Honestly, I was preparing for a 1 point Bengals win. It’s been that kind of year. Imagine my surprise. $100 says Burfict gets a fine for his cheap shot on Brown.

When there was 1 min and 18 sec left on the clock and the Steelers having three timeouts I knew it was over. The Steelers OL and DL won the day. Over 100 yds more on Offense and on Defense, 3 sacks to 0 for the Bengals. They had a run play around right end at least 3 times. In total it gained around 60 yards. The announcers congratulated Pouncey for blocking on two of the plays. Steelers deserved this one based on the stats but that said the Bengals played hard. Great goal line stand. Look for another loss next week due mainly to all the injuries. I'll be pulling for them but I have to be realistic.

And like I said last week its our defense that worries me. They aren't playing like they should. I'm not sure about Austin as new DC.

I just saw this post, so I'm gonna list some facts based on previous posts. Some of my remarks may hit a few of you (both Bengal fans and Steeler fans) right in the gut, but rest assured they're true. And if any of you find yourself getting upset, grow a pair. It's life and the truth can hurt. So grow up and take it without any whining.
1) The Steelers have committed far more cheap shots against the Bengals than the Bengals have committed against the Steelers since their rivalry began back in the '60's. Burfict's antics and/or cheap shots are a drop in the bucket compared to the number of cheap shots committed by the Steelers against the Bengals. And don't think for a moment this is just one disgruntled Bengals fan opinion. The Steelers are consistently voted by the players of all teams as being one of, if not the dirtiest team in the league year after year. So for any Steeler fan to complain about Burfict or any other player in the league delivering cheap shots to their men of dirty football, stop being so damn hypocritical. The Steelers are a notoriously dirty organization. They're the evil empire. Get over it.
2) All of the Bengals problems, and I do mean every single one of them, are all Mike Brown's fault. It's easy to blame Lewis for many of the troubles with the team and to do so would be fair. I do it all the time. I actually find it quite amusing and easy to do. After all, there's a ton of material to pick from. Mismanagement of the game clock. Clueless sideline stares. Arrogant press conferences. But ultimately, it's Mike Brown who continues to employ him. So say what you will about Lewis or any other knucklehead associated with this organization, but the emperor upstairs is solely responsible for ALL of this teams troubles. Period.
3) I'm not sure that my loyal Bengal fans/friends that I share this board with understand the gravity of the problems that surround this team. Basically, this team will never stand a chance of winning a Super Bowl as long as Mike Brown is in the picture. Even after Brown is out of the picture, who's to say his heirs won't be just as bad or even worse at running the team than he was? Surely some of his penny-pinching habits are going to rub off on the next generation of Browns. Right?
4) To sum this point up, there's really no reason to blame Lewis, Austin, any of the other assistant coaches, Tobin, any of the players or anyone associated with this team in any manner because it's Mike Brown who signs each and every one of these clueless underachievers checks regardless of the results. And IMO, Brown loves rubbing it in the faces of Bengals fans. Simply put, Brown doesn't give a shit about the fans. Seriously! He doesn't give a shit. Not one measly butt nugget. The only fan Brown gives a shit about are those that are ignorant enough to pay out hard earned cash to watch a fake football franchise. In his mind, the dumber the fan, the better.
5) I think Shannon Sharpe summed it up best when he blamed Brown for the troubles that this organization is experiencing because Brown is cheap and runs the organization like and I quote, "a mom and pop store" [instead of like a modern NFL team must be ran]. And will all you Bengal fans who criticize Stephen A. Smith shut your pie holes! I mean seriously, shut the hell up! Every comment that he's made about the Bengals is 100% true and it needs to be said for the good of the team. Why can't some Bengal fans realize this? It's puzzling to me. It make no sense whatsoever. A true Bengal fan should be praising Smith for taking the time to analyze the team and lay the blame where it belongs - at the feet of the owner.
6) It's time to blow it up. That's right gang, BLOW. IT. UP!!! Start anew. The teams best players are 30 years of age, so trading them now while the team can still get something out of them should be done ASAP. The only two players that may be off limits is A.J. Green and Geno Atkins. However, if some team made a 'Hershel Walker type deal' for either or both (or even somewhat close to that deal all those years ago), pull the trigger. Why not? The chances of an older QB, WR and DT leading this team to the top of the mountain is about 1,000,000 to 1. It's not gonna happen folks. The team is hollow. No substance. No direction. No identity. No philosophy. A team can't win with an owner that's this miserly. Don't you guys get that? Besides, Green and Atkins deserve better. They deserve a chance to win it all ala Corey Dillon. Also, they're nearing the end of their careers, so if they're elected to the Hall of Fame, they'll go in as Bengals. And this is coming from arguably Atkins biggest fan. If he were traded, it would devastate me. I truly want him to retire as a Bengal having never played for another team. But isn't that being a bit selfish on my part? A bit nearsighted? Aren't teams suppose to come before any one player or players? If that's the case, than any and all players should be shopped but only traded for fair market value. And keep in mind that the Bengals have a good core of young players that the team can continue to build on. Too many to list actually. Trading Dalton should be priority number one. Why not? What does the team have to lose? Dalton's not leading them to a Super Bowl victory. You know it and I know it. So why not trade him and give Driskel a shot? Even if Driskel falls flat on his face, who cares? Dalton isn't going to do that much better anyway. Time to get real guys.

I have to agree with you 77. It all starts at the top. That, however, is not going to change. The best we can do is get new coaches.
Brown will blame paying players too much (Atkins and Dunlap). He will say that they get lazy. So, we will have to plan that the draft will improve this team. Sad.

Well things could be worse. We could be the Redskins with Colt McCoy as our starter and Mark Sanchez as backup. Hahahaha.
