The Bengals pulled out a win vs. the Colts late in the fourth quarter, but as I posted before and after the game, the Bengals should've dominated the Colts from beginning to end and the game actually shows that's the case.
The Bengals had a minimum of four interceptions drop right through their fingers Sunday afternoon. Possibly more. Dre Kirkpatrick dropped THREE 'should'a been' interceptions that hit him in the hands and Carlos Dunlap dropped a tough one up front. If these picks are made, this game is over with the Bengals winning it by three scores. If I'm Terrell Austin, all DB's are going to work on their ball skills a lot this week!
Defenses are still targeting Kirkpatrick over other Bengal DB's. Darqueze Dennard and William Jackson are rarely mentioned during the game because they have their men locked down. Not so with Kirkpatrick who appears to be the teams weak link in the secondary. So, should the Bengals switch up the roles of Kirkpatrick and Dennard? I think it should be looked into at minimum.
I don't know about you guys, but I think the Bengals should sign Dennard to an extension ASAP. He really turned things around last year and he's picked right up right where he left off. Having WJIII on one side and Dennard on the other could become one of the better CB tandems in the league.
