Former First Lady Barbara Bush's Tuesday report...may she RIP.
Reds trade recently DFA'd Ariel Hernandez to the Dodgers for P-Zach Neal & 1B-Ibandel Isabel
-Hernandez,26, was acquired as a minor league Rule-5 draft pick form the D'Backs, and quickly moved up the system. He had a 5.18ERA in 16 appearances with the Reds last year. He can hit 100 with his fastball & has a big curveball, but struggles with control. He began the season as Pensacola's closer. I'm not sure I would have given him up to add Floro to the roster.
-Neal,29, was originally a 16th rd pick by the Marlins in 2010. He has a career 4.94MLB ERA in 85IP for the A's in 2016 & 2017. In allowed a run in 1IP in his only appearance for the Dodgers this year. He's a groundball pitcher who doesn't strike a lot of guys out, but doesn't walk many either. He's been assigned to Louisville
-Ibandel,22, was a International Free Agent out of the Dominican Republic. He's a career .283 hitter with 109BB/413K in 1142ABs. He hit a career high 28HRs in the hitter happy High-A California League last year, but only hit .259. He has been assigned to Daytona.
With the news Suarez won't be out as long as originally thought, Nick Senzel has moved back to playing 2B
