You know, if they were playing crappy again everyone would be on this board raising hell. When they play good no one ha anything to say. This board is really starting to suck I'll take that challenge. Win or lose, this team has a greedy owner, a clueless head coach, a mediocre coaching staff and a QB that makes all kinds of boneheaded mistakes week in and week out. One or two good drives isn't going to change much of anything for a team that's 0-2. Another words, I would trade a win today to receive news that Mike Brown has officially retired and will no longer be running the team. The Bengals also had a 21-7 lead in this game, but they're very close to blowing it even though they have more talent than Green Bay. Like I posted years ago, Lewis coaches 'not to lose' instead of coaching 'to win'. Hopefully the players take it upon themselves to get the win because Lewis has no clue of what strings to pull to ensure victory.

Now that's how the offense should look! I agree, but does this team have the coaching staff to get this offense to play this well consistently? Not in my humble opinion. And what's really frustrating is to see promising young players such as Joe Mixon, Carl Lawson, Chris Smith, Kevin Minter, Jordan Willis and others hampered by a poor coaching staff. All the players on this team (even Russell Bodine) deserve better!

Like I said. People don't post on the board anymore until theres something to gripe about. They didn't win but quite honestly no one expected them to. But no one expected them to play as well as they did either. They showed a lot of improvement in such a short time with a new OC. Dalton played like crap at times and well at times. But you can't blame the loss on him alone. If the kicker hadn't missed a FG he should have made we could have won also. Looking at the situation logically instead of negatively like everyone loves to do. We have shown a lot of improvement! Better play calling for most of the game. We damn near won that game. And its not easy going into GB and winning anytime let alone 90 weather.
No one makes any comments at all when they play well. This has been going on before this year. Its almost like everyone secretly loves it when they lose so they can have something to complain about. Yes I complain when they play poorly, but I also credit them when they play well. I saw major improvement and Mixon is going to end up getting us over that hump.

0-3 any playoff hope is over. Lost I agree they played better than expected in the first half. But told my friend that was watching game with me at half time there is no way Bengals win this game. Sure enough blew it again. I thought Romo made some good points about play calling. I stil think the reason for playing not to lose instead of playing to win comes back to Lewis and staff not trusting Dalton. I don't think Marvin has ever trusted Dalton 100%. So if they don't trust him why is he playing? Why not play A.J.? I wouldn't be shocked if they don't ;ose to the Browns this week. That loss Sunday was a tough one. Players could easily just pack it up and quit. We could be looking at a 2-3 win season.

It comes back to coaching. Bengals have more talent than Houston,Green Bay or Baltimore. Aaron Rodgers is only position IMO that Packers are better at than Bengals. If they had a good head coach we would be 3-0 right now or 2-1 at worst. They get a lead and have no idea how to step on opponets throats and end the game.

Speaking for myself, I gave the Bengals credit for having a good draft, being a very talented team and giving props to some of the rookies and other young players. But what I won't do, and no fan should, is wave the pom-poms just because the team played better for one half of a game. Why? Because to do so is to reward and encourage mediocrity while ignoring the 'larger picture'. Yesterdays 'better performance' vs. the Packers is insignificant when compared to the 'larger picture' and/or Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis. As long as these two are at the helm, the chances of this team winning a Super Bowl are almost non-existent, and it's not fair to great players such as Carlos Dunlap, A.J. Green, Geno Atkins, etc. Like you, I want the team to win a Super Bowl(s), but if we fans continue to support mediocrity; mediocrity is exactly what we'll get. Think about it; Lewis has been the head coach of this team for 15 years and has no playoff wins yet he's still employed! I may wrong, but I don't think any coach has been retained this long without a playoff win in the history of the league! I truly hope the Commissioner steps in and gives Mike Brown an ultimatum that would go something like this: Either run your team with a focus on winning a Super Bowl, or relinquish your power/role and all day-to-day operations.

But league took the question out of our hands. Done with all these punks!

Yeah 77 we are beyond that root for the home team phase. This god damn team hasn't won a playoff game for over 25 years so whatever reaction we have after an 0-3 start is warranted. The only thing we can hope is Kim Jong Un hits PBS and doesn't blow the rest of us up!

After yesterday I am not just done with the Bengals but I am done with the NFL. Nobody is forcing politics into my face. Later gator. Fuck the whole deal... Rod, I have spent the last two days debating this myself. And your post made me realize I made the right decision. I came on this morning to say exact same thing. It burns my ass! Whats happening in the NFL. They can all back a guy like Kapernick in disrespecting our country, but where were all these people seeking social justice when Tim Tebow was ran out of the NFL and not even given a fair chance because he was Christian? This whole mess makes me sick! I am boycotting the nfl as well. I can easily find better things to do on sunday after church. The rest of you have at it.

The flag, anthem, and concept of America is a white thing. But knowing these individuals define themselves as black men not American, it makes it racism. If you define yourself by your color you are a racist. It takes guts to be a part of something collectively. This is segregation, isolation, and division. I won't stand for it. Plus I don't like politics forced into my face by millionaire entertainers. This one way political street in this country is making me sick. I want no part of it. It sounds like I am not alone either. Many are cancelling NFL ticket. Glad to see you making a stand too Lost. It takes guts.

Twenty-four hours ago, I went to an urgent care because of virus-like symptoms and sharp pains below the ribs on my right side. To make a long story short, I was then sent to an ER and diagnosed with having an inflamed appendix. About 15 hours ago, I had an appendectomy and I'm now at home in bed resting. It's been a heckuva day! I'm taking it easy for the next few days.
