Garrett ties Reyes #Reds record for strikeouts by a rookie lefty at 12. Overall club rookie record is 15 by Nolan. My dad told me when Nolan first came up he threw harder that anyone including Ryan. I only remember him as a junk baller in the mid 70s |

19 yr old Don Gullett. Relief pitcher but next year he pitched 217 innings as a 20 ur old
21 yr old Wayne Simpson. Started 1970 with a 14-1 record
22 ur old Gary Nolan won 18 games in 1970
They all got hurt and had short careers
