Lost I get what you are saying but again I see that as a very convenient narrative that at this point in time is overindulgence. This is coming from a guy who after 2014 said I was not going to watch in 2015. I needed to be convinced into buying in. Largely because of Dalton's miserable failures. Then the 2015 season came. That was impressive by an standard of measurement. And it was NOT the same guy.
But if this is the type of thinking that is getting the optimism going again out of my fellow brethren to me it says just how bad things really are. Honestly I don't see and am not reaching for any creative solutions to see an inkling of light peeking through the cracks in the door. I watch every Sunday. Love seeing them win. The future and especially the offseason I am not looking forward to. But I do see how your thoughts and my thoughts intertwine. And it's this. Let's make some real change. Let's get rid of this head coach and let a new one come in with his own staff. I would target a college coach that is an up and comer with his own vision. Keep Tobin in place. This alliance IMO solves all the personnel decisions. Leverage a solid return for Dalton. I want the biggest of big changes and that is the entire coaching staff. If we are going to go that far I also say let's do it with a younger QB with a better pedigree also. I am on board. We do all this and have another good draft and get our top 2 draft picks from last year healthy, along with some FA linemen in addition to what we get from Dalton. Then I would be genuinely excited. It's time for a new era.

It's time to get rid of the old "favorites" who take up valuable time from young guys who could gather experience and get better.

And it would not be a complete rebuild. I think we are instantly competitive next year but would really expect big things in 2018.

A few of the games this year were decided by one score or less. A play here or there and this team could have 7 wins.

I agree new coach from college. I don't know. Knowing MB he would hire someone worse than what we already have.

He signed a two year extension at the beginning of this year. Fuck I thought he was a 1 year deal. Fire his ass. I hope he quits. You were talking about ceilings the other day Linz, this MF'er topped the hell out! I think he lost the team this season and the late rebound other than being vs suspect teams is player pride more than anything. In short it's bullshit. This guy gotta go.

Lewis is signed through 2017. The only way Lewis won't be back next year is if he retires or resigns. Brown will never fire him.

Rex Burkhead and Cody Core are just two examples of players that should be getting more playing time but aren't under the Lewis regime.
Darqueze Dennard is being considered a bust by many. But is he? Or is he just another victim of a player that isn't getting the proper coaching nor enough playing time? Last week Dennard made two great tackles behind or near the line of scrimmage. He looked really quick. I wonder how well he would be playing if he were a Patriot?

My high school football coaching staff could've done a better job today. Lewis is the most conservative coach I've ever seen and it's killing the team. Lewis is actually a detriment to this teams success but in Mike Brown's mind we fans know nothing and should be ignored because he and Lewis are true football geniuses. What a joke; and to make matters worse, it looks like 2017 will be another wasted year. The only chance this team has at being successful is if the players take it upon themselves to do so because Lewis is incapable of getting the most out of his players.
