12K "announced" attendance last night and GG said expect the same announced tonight but much, much less buts in seats. Can't blame 'em. Surprised the reds have drawn as well as they have, despite it being down. You do know they are on the road right?! |

Lost my internet for a bit, damned comcast. Good one to win. But...Why the F' was Wood even in there after 34 pitches yesterday? REason #34521 Price has to either be fired(please yes) or retained(boo!!!) but on just a one and done he can't make reasonable choices about the team's future vs. his future based on wins/team performance. He's a desperate man doing stupid developmental things because he HAS no future as of now. Wood has potential, lots of it, as do many of these young pitchers and it's folly to have Price use them indiscriminately.

LOL, never was (obviously) a big fan of Dr. Baker but wow, does he look like a genius next to this ridiculous joke of a manager in name only. He's even lost his ONE SKILL SET that got him a MLB job, aka a really good pitching coach. I'd take Bob Boone, Vern Rapp and any other shitty mgr. the reds have EVER had before Price. I feel about him like a certain other poster here felt about Dusty. Worst. Mgr. Ever.

I just hope they get something of true value for him and not just dump him. The baseball Gods have remade Bruuce into his former self offensively of 3 yrs. ago. Capitalize on it. Can't agree more on Suarez, needs to just go back to hitting linedrives and the HR's will come. It's a modern day tragedy in baseball that plays itself out regularly. Guy that can hit for average gets HR happy and tanks. It happened in our minor league system to Neftali Soto. I think he is out of baseball now. Had all the talent in the world and smoked it on the long ball. It's an addiction that a lot of guys can't break. Even us bums playing slow pitch softball, that feeling you get when you go yard, it's like a craving you want to feel on a regular basis. It's like a drug that you want that constant high. Then you go through a drought where all you have is warning track power and makes you crave it more and more until it consumes you and then you're fucked. |
